I agree with those who've said that if you're not absolutely thrilled you shouldn't keep it. I know what it's like - you find a beautiful bag at a great price, and it's so hard to pass on the opportunity. It seems to tick all the boxes but somehow doesn't feel quite right? If its not entirely for you, eventually you'll regret it, and/or the bag will languish in your wardrobe unused. So I'd advise if there is a nagging doubt somewhere, to let it go :smile1:

+1.

When you get a new bag and feel it isn't for you be certain to listen to your feelings. When we save money to purchase these expensive bags, we need to feel comfortable with them. Even at a good buy, it is too much money to regret.

Easier said than done, sometimes, if we're just not sure and dither but if you open the parcel and don't feel excited, it's usually going back/to be resold. :smile1:

Thank you so much for all the feedback. Truly an amazing community :-)

So I decided to keep it in the end. Although I was not excited when I received it, and I panicked when I ordered it, I actually do like the bag - I fell in love with it for a reason right?

There were a few things that helped me make the decision
1. I cinched in the side belt and got the gussets at the tightest settings, it changed the boxy feel
2. Popped some cardboard into the front compartment so it keeps its smoothness then put the strap in the zipper pocket behind it.
3. She will only be a crook of the arm or handheld bag for my frame. Keeping the straps in the front pocket in case I ever need to be a little handsfree. This made a big difference once I accepted this. I love small handbags because I love wearing bags on the shoulder or crossbody. But I just needed to understand that this is not a small bag so I need to style it differently. This made all the difference!
4. I also did some handbag organisation this weekend - realised that all my bags are the same size wise and this is why the size seems so weird to me. And also why I need to change things around. I am that crazy chick that carries 2 or 3 bags everyday! I need to consolidate into one bag for my sanity!

Thanks for helping me decide (even though I kept it in the end!)

I've threatened to whack a car park creepy in his jingle bells, with my bays double zip.
He backed off.
Practical design, with unsung usefulness.
Great choice!

Glad you made a decision you're happy with!

I have the small DZ and love it. Looking forward to breaking it out again when the weather warms up a bit more!

I thought it looked great on you - particularly handheld. It's a good point about choosing a different size for a different function too.

That is not the right way to treat a handbag! It's just as well the threat worked; you might have scratched the bag.

I tend to rely on my footwear in such situations; even a kitten heel can do serious damage :smile1:
