Does anyone own the small D-Z in oak? I'd like to know if it keeps its shape over time. I love my taupe glossy goat one, which is holding up beautifully, but I don't think this style would be attractive if it became "smooshy," which I've heard can sometimes happen with the NVT leather.

I'd appreciate anyone who can help me with this!:smile1:

I think Remainsilly has one (see post below) - Maybe she could help?

The bag looks perfect though :)

Just put an order for this bag - black with GHW, grained leather in the larger size. Now I'm not so sure if I want it anymore... I'm starting to doubt if it will suite me and my preferences.

I bought it for work purposes - to hold my laptop and files. Will preferably hand hold it and only use the strap when I absolutely have to. I wanted a professional brief case type handbag - I drive to work anyway so it will never be in the "environment".

Help me decide! Does anyone use it for this purpose? What do you think? Thank you :-)

The black double zip was the first bag I bought in this style. When I first purchased mine I used it for work days and had no problems with it. Like any work bag it is heavy when all my things were included because I kept personal items in it as well. Because weight is a real issue for me, I passed it on to my daughter who uses it for work and day to day wear. She loves it. It is a wonderful bag but I suggest you put some of your things in it as a "test run" so to speak. If I didn't have a problem with weight I would never have given the bag to my daughter. Both of us have nothing but good things to say about the double zip. It is beautifully made and I have gotten more compliments from this style than any Mulberry I have ever had. If I had it to do over I would keep it for day to day wear. I love both versions but the large one is my favorite.

Thanks for the feedback Izzy, your photo was actually one of the main reasons I pulled the trigger, I must admit, the store photos make it look less pretty than in real life. Thanks for the recommendation, it will arrive very soon, hopefully by the end of this week.
Do you feel like you need a baseshaper or samorga organiser? Does the bottom sag if I put a laptop into it?
Thanks ;):smile1:

Thank you Elaine! No, you do not need a base shaper. The different compartments work very well on their own. One of my favorite things with that bag is my envelope wallet in black shiny goat. It looks fabulous with the DZ. I like bag charms but I never used one with this bag because it is a classy bag and needs nothing. As a side note my daughter is visiting and she said I feel bad using both your large DZ 's. I told her I missed the black DZ so we both laughed about my bag obsession and decided to share the large DZ. I will carry it tomorrow!

So DZ has arrived earlier than expected... Here are some mod shots - I'm 5'2 average build

Give me some honest feedback - is it too boxy and too big for me? Should I keep her? I got her for a good price (about 820gbp) so I inclined to keep her but i don't want to just keep her because she is at a good price.... I often get blinded when I get a good deal... I.e. See things better than what they are

Thanks :-)

I have a friend who has this bag who is 5' tall and quite petit in body. She told me she never wears the strap long because the purse comes to her knees and looks too square (her words) on her. She shortens the cross body strap and wears it that way for work. I have also seen her use the double handles as a shoulder bag. Perhaps shortening the straps might help. The key is to keep the bag if you love it but if you have serious doubts it may not be such a good idea to keep it. Also, I think you look great with it!

I'm 2 inches shorter than you, so I'm also sensitive about whether bags are too large. I own the smaller-size D-Z, which is a better size for me... I found that the full-size overpowered me.

In your 2 photos, you look great in the first one, holding it by the handles, but in the second one, when you have the strap over your shoulder, the bag (in my opinion) looks much too long on you. Maybe if you carried it cross-body? And can you shorten the strap? At the moment, it looks as though the bag is wearing you, rather than the other way around.

Thanks for the advice - I actually have the strap at the shortest here. It is a very long one! And I wanted the larger of the DZ so I can fit A4 document and my laptop.

I am still undecided about keeping - I think I hesitate because I am usually a small handbag girl (Bal City being my biggest before this) and I am simply not used to it. I've asked a few friends and DH in person and they all say it looks Ok.

I have the whole weekend to think about it thanks so much for your time :ty: :ty:

Well, maybe a cobbler could sort it out.

On the other hand, unless you have lots and lots of upmarket bags, and the money to pay for them, then it's really important for people who have saved up for a bag to be happy with their purchase....

I think the bag looks great on you. Not boxy or too big. [emoji4] The Zippy B is one of my favorite Mulberry designs. If the strap is your only concern I would take it to the cobbler. Good luck deciding! [emoji4]
