I must have terrible eyesight, I was getting ready to use my new RT WE and noticed these odd white marks on the back handle…nothing was mentioned in the description, but upon closer inspection on one of the photos on the RR, I can see some of the white marks

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what this might be and if it’s easily fixable…

I’ve had other bags with similar types of white marks. Usually a little bit of leather conditioner does the trick. If you’re concerned, I’d try starting with one of the spots that are less conspicuous

Now that I think about it, I think I’ve had a few bags from TRR that had white spots on them that were easily removed with conditioner. Makes me wondering what they’re exposing these bags to in their showroom

How odd!! I was wondering if I stored it incorrectly in the dust bag the RR provided and some residue rubbed off on the handles…but then I checked the photos online and saw some was already there. I was worried about darkening the handles with any kind of conditioner, but at the end of the day I bought the bag to be used for the holiday season, it’s bound to get some darkening regardless.

I do wonder what it was exposed to that caused this though! Thank you for your insight l, I feel better about it now lol. I’ll update with results

I wasn't having much luck removing it, but I was also super cautious. 😬

I did call the RR and they offered me a return, but I do still like the bag. It was expensive, but I got 20% off on top of a $50 site credit and $25 first time buyer fee ($668 in total with tax). I also qualified for the $80 site credit promo for buying it during their sale. I'm worried I might regret returning it, and not sure when I'll see another one for sale.

It also doesn't help that I bought another bag that arrived today with the security tag still inside, so either way I have to go to my local RR boutique lol.



**update** They ended up refunding me $100 if I kept the bag instead of returning, so I decided to keep it. Even with the handles, I just love this color and leather. Hope this helps anyone that has an issue with an order from the RR

I bought a bag from her, but I cancelled the sale bc she used/stole bag photos from another seller. I know that's her same profile photo, same location from Singapore, and when I look at her items for sale and her sale history, it shows the bag I bought, plus others I've seen from her in the past.
I don't know that she has an account here, or maybe if potential buyers have commented to her regarding her items for sale. It's just interesting she changed her name and took down the inflammatory description comments (or at least the ones in English).

Got it! Putting a @ in front of that name tags a member here by that name, who is probably not associated with the VC seller. Looks like the tagging was unintentional.
