Hi again

I made a little more research into the matter, and as I understand it (reading on Yoogies Bal-guide), the agneau leather began from F/W 2007, and the chevre discontinued in S/S 2008.

So how does one figure out, if this bag is agneau or chevre ?
I think the color must be Anthracite or Steel/Plomb (which are S/S and F/W 2007 colors).
And the mirror has the back pocket.

Help would be so much appreciated 🙏❤️

Actually, you could be right that it's Plomb. On my phone the color had a green tint, but looking at it on my computer it does look more straight gray, which would make it Plomb. If it has any green or blue in it (you're in the best position to see it with naked eye), then it would be anthracite, which with the giant silver hardware would have to be after 2007. But if you see no green or blue in the gray, then it's 07 Plomb. The leather does look like f/w 07 leather, though some 08 bags also had this leather.

So, if I understand you correctly, it’s not possible/very hard to tell here if this is agneau or chevre?

Because F/W 2007 can be both leather types?

Or am I misunderstanding? I don’t know that much about Balenciagas, but I’m learning and learning very much from you guys. Thanks.

S/S 08 (letter T on silver plate tag bags) can be both agneau and chèvre.

Weird thing is that GHW Plomb seems to have darker tape than RHW Plomb... like my definitely Plomb WE has lighter tape.

Gotta add that to the Bal Mysteries file! :shrugs:

Although it is said that F/W 2007 can be both leather types, in my very extensive experience, it's extremely rare for F/W 2007 to be agneau. The vast majority are chevre. If you have a F/W 2007 bag, it's safe to assume it's chevre. S/S 2008 was a mix.
