Not mogano but doesn't look bad. Not sure how even the colour is, the pics aren't great.

I actually like that brown! The color appears a lot more even than the WE. Ever since I went to the Bal boutique…I actually fell in love with the new city, please…safe space don’t hate haha. It’s just a little pricey, been saving for it, unless a VERY good condition men’s Mogano pops up.

Cracking up over this:
A ratty Maldives City for $3000 all because it's "just like Mary Kate Olsen" and "rare af"
(No, MK has a Seafoam, which is rare, but not af, and not $3000 rare)

Ashley had/has a Seafoam First (I think MK borrowed it a handful of times, maybe?) and then MK had her infamous Pistachio (and Marron, if we're counting her coloured B-tags, lol)...

Your message still rings true though!!! :ps:

In any case -- at least it's pre-stained, like MK's... /joke :panic:

I feel like The Real Real's AI "authenticator/identifier" needs a reboot: Club's are called Day's, Work's are City's, City's are First's, Parttime's are City's and Weekender's are Work's.
(Yes, I get they are pin the tail on the donkey level of accuracy in general, but just looking at the first page of Bal's and the mishmash of styles is giving me major OCD.)

Question -- when the Weekender was originally released (S/S04), was it originally intended to be part of the Men's collection, but once they were made popular by celebrities, they made it part of the classic collection, with a separate line for Men?

I took a look in the clubhouse and Ceejay had a 2006 post saying that the men's WE had longer handles so to me that sounds like there was a men's and women's line.

I was asking because I was confused what the M is for in front of the style number. I thought maybe it meant MEN'S

Woah that M is really unique! I have never seen that. Maybe M for Mary Kate?

From my novice research, I came across this post about the main difference between the men’s WE not having a metal plaque and a different model number.

It’s odd because some do have longer handles and no mirror from this time period, but not the men’s ID number

I know the Men's Weekenders usually have longer handles, but thats why I was thinking that maybe when it was first released (pretty sure S/S04 was the first season for WEs), that they were intending on making them for men (so the M would be for MEN's), but changed the direction when the female celebrities made them popular so they then came out with a women's WE (with normal handles) and a Men's WE (with longer)

Of course, I'm just guessing -- confused as everyone else! :confused1:

It seems unlikely. I've never seen them indicate gender on a tag before and if they did I would think it would be more deliberate than that faint M. But that's just my opinion.

No idea on that M, could have something to do with a staff purchase or something like that.

Could it mean “Model” AKA Showroom Sample of some kind? Having worked for luxury brands in the past - some items are stamped a certain way when they are press/showroom samples.

I do remember inquiring about the Men’s Weekender early on at Balenciaga at the OG Chelsea boutique and they didn’t come with the mirror and I recall being told they weren’t offered in other colors besides black and only other dark colors.
