The floor in that first photo is totally different from the background in all the other photos. Who does this?
Just my two cents for what it's worth. I often take photos in various places to show colour variations depending on light. I also find that my iPhone has a mind of it's own and will reset the colour in specific situations. The first pic shows maybe a bit darker than it is due to lighting, but if you look at the pics of the handles and the corners I'd say the bag is darker than those overexposed pics show it to be. Just my best guess.

I’ve read about people putting bags in the washing machine and am itching to try it.

The best luck I’ve had with removing ink is with cheap hairspray, though that was quite a while ago so formulations may have changed entirely. Is the stain right on the seam the only one?
