Repair has gone up so much. A friend of mine said she paid around $700 to get all vachetta replaced on her montsouris in 2019/2020 . Anyways I paid $1270, pretty hefty but still less than the new backpack considering I bought it for a few hundred dollars in 1999 or 2000 (i'm old lol)😅.
Absolutely worth it since we all know the canvas back then was top tier!!
Looks fabulous! Do you mind sharing the pice for the leather replacement? Ive been eyeing a preloved one but down the road definitely going to want the leather replaced.
I was in NYC last week and picked this Ellipse Sac a Dos up from Fashionphile - it's my first LV bag! The date code puts it as from 1999.

If you're not using it then perhaps sell it and somebody else can enjoy it! And honestly I'm speaking to myself because I have several bags that are just sitting on my shelf and I'm sure they would bring great joy to somebody else.

I had the original and love it! But I sold it because it was hard to get into and I was worried about the leather.
This one seems bigger than the mm. I’m debating if I should get the smaller size of this or if I should buy a vintage and modify it so could be magnetic. I really like this new one but feel that it’s a little too big. I can’t quite place my finger on what it is. Anyone else similar?

bigger than the original MM? I thought it is the same size to the original MM. I had original mini (PM), MM, GM quite many times. currently have GM, one of my most favorite original LV bags.
Yes, I use to have the mm vintage and I would say it’s at least an inch bigger, Im 5’7 and I feel like it looks big maybe once it breaks in and sags more it will look better and not feel as big? I went to the store today and tried on the mini and it’s so cute. I think I may exchange for the mini still debating, how did you like the og mini?
Kind of cute, but I wore it at front. I have Palm Springs mini, that’s my favorite mini backpack, wear it front too, bigger than original Montsouris mini similar size to original mm

I love this backpack. It’s adorable, it’s holds the essentials and makes for a great grab and go. However, due to it’s small size I’ll probably add an MM or GM at some point. 🥰
