Aww I am sorry you are disappointed in your repair. I think it would be okay to express your concerns to the store manager. Maybe they can redo it or refund your repair fee? In any case, the new bottom looks beautiful! I wish you had done the entire leather on the bag, but the patina will even out soon.
Thxs [emoji4] the leather looks great, that I'm happy about. I don't know if taking them up on a redo is good though as it might compromise the 21 year old canvas. I can't see how they restitched using the old holes, as the stitch lines now run over the tip of the last flower and before it was stitched underneath it. So if they redo it I'm gonna be left with holes. I guess refunding my repair would be the solution, but then I am left feeling like I am with a fake looking bag- I know that's weird, but I guess that's the best option. I hope to get past it. I am just so sad about it.
I thought about redoing everything but the leather was in good condition and I just didn't want to add more to our landfill [emoji4], plus I would lose the date code as it's on the buckle and they wouldn't put a date code. I plan to tan the bottom when I get over this. I just can't find it in me to look at her much right now.
Thxs for trying to make me feel a little better! I do, it helped.
