Beautiful! "Untouched by human hands.....Figi". I just purchased a Montsouris MM backpack for traveling this summer. I am looking forward to having a backpack that I don't have to baby on the plane. My nice LV bags were being placed in the dustbag before going under the seat in front of me.

Hi, is the underside of your drawstring unfinished leather (not smooth vachetta on both sides)?
Yes- mine is but it's fairly new, I got it last year, not sure about older models.
Thxs for answering. Mine is so rough on the back on my Bosphore (2011) and fraying from the constant pulling and tying- it looks and feels awful.
If anyone is interested, I just bought a strap keeper for my backpacks from mcraft leather. It looks just like it came with the bag, great quality. So happy I bought this. This has made it so much easier to open and close the bag.

Ok, so my bosphore backpack was stolen from me (along with several other LV small leather goods.) And as you all know it is discontinued or just impossible to get. Three days ago a meriacle happened and I was able to buy a brand new one (never carried or used) from one of the last productions made. I'm so flipping excited. Does anyone know when they improved the handle? I really like the dual material handle.

Well my Montsouris GM backpack came back from a $384 repair.... I am totally disappointed in their lack of attention to details. I can overlook the black marks on my straps that it came back with but I am having a hard time overlooking that they left me with a crooked pattern on the bottom back. Originally it had 6 tips of the flowers on the bottom by the leather (I believe all vintage ones had perfectly aligned patterns showing the tips) now I have only 4 showing. I am so sad because this could have been avoided had the specialist took the time align it. The bag just looks fake to me now. I am not sure what my options are because I don't think they can re do this again without compromising the canvas. 
Aww I am sorry you are disappointed in your repair. I think it would be okay to express your concerns to the store manager. Maybe they can redo it or refund your repair fee? In any case, the new bottom looks beautiful! I wish you had done the entire leather on the bag, but the patina will even out soon.
