I am thinking of buying a Herbag and I would like some guidance. I am looking at navy blue canvas and navy leather (I have seen some on Instagram),is this a combo that one can easily request from their SA or it has to be specifically made to order? Also, how do you keep the canvas clean?

Hi just received the 39 Herbag black on black with SHW (was able to get it on their website this week) and wanted to know if you think its too big for an everyday bag and also taking out to weekly dinners? I am 5.6 for reference. any other comments greatly appreciated - I am still undecided TYIA

That really depends on how much you carry on a daily basis… if you load it up too much, remember that it really doesn’t hold its shape very well. You could buy an insert/organizer to help with this. In terms of looks (it’s size vs your height), I personally love big bags.

thanks for your reply! Do you think I can wear it out to dinner- seems a bit like a briefcase but then again I didn't put anything in it yet- do you think it will hold its value?

Casual dinners, yes. I don’t really know what the resale value is of the style. If that’s important to you, I’m sure you can find prices on resale sites. If you love the bag, the style and size work for your lifestyle and you want to be assured you have an authentic piece, I’d go ahead and enjoy it!

Thanks so much! - I rarely change my everyday bags and get stuck with my Chanel/Goyard/YSL totes - Have many dressier bags for evening and just wanted something different and I think this one will work- thanks again!

These are the scratches / dents on my Herbag a dos after using it maybe 10 times. „A dos“ version is a bit smaller then the 39 and when I put my HP Elitebook (quit a view of us here haha) it’s really stretched, that’s why the dents from the hardware are a bit intense I think.

But it does not worry me at all. When closed, it’s hidden anyways. And it’s such a thick leather, I think scratches and other marks make it interesting rather then making it unfavorable in any way. But of course that’s an individual preference

I think the dents are not too bag, it just shows the bag is loved and being used as it should! Is this size 31? I didn’t realize that HP Elitebook would fit in size 31. I just ordered 31, but haven’t received it yet. I am in doubts if I need it all, but it it fits a laptop that’s a whole different story, then I definitely need it.

Is it hard to take care of this canvas? I just got the same bag and recognized that it is not the military canvas.

I find my canvas is easy to take care of and if i see a spot i spot clean it. My leather top is very prone to scratches and bc of the leather used I find them quite ugly and pronounced.

Here’s a stupid question so get ready! I purchased the 31 Herbag in all black with silver hardware from the Hermes website on Friday (Apple Pay for the win again to beat the bots!). I’m going away and wanted to take it with me so I did next day air. Here’s the question. I opened the box and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to undo the straps to open the bag? What am I missing? Told you it was stupid! Thanks in advance!

And I should make clear that if i try to pull each one out (if that makes sense) they will not budge even a centimeter!

Oh! You're talking about the straps to fasten the bag??? Not the shoulder strap?
They should just slide through the 'button' on the front.
They may be stiff because its a new bag and hunter leather is pretty thick.
