Wow, I can’t believe all these stories about irresponsible sellers and odors. I just picked up a preloved leather item and it reeks of perfume! I too asked prior to buying if it had any odors or smells, and she said No. lol. I’m saving these tips, thanks everyone and good luck!

I know right I'm honestly turned off of preloved at the moment. I figured paypal would protect me if ever this happened but they did nothing. I even called and they said its listed as used so it's not expected not to smell, even if no odor is listed and it has one. It stinks, no pun intended, that one lousy seller is now making me rethink all preloved. I have bought atleast a dozen items preloved but no more for me.

Well it didn't work in my case. I returned the agenda. I guess I just cannot purchase preloved canvas because I got stuck with stinky agendas that odors didn't come out of both times :(
Musty or whatever the odor was from Japan was worst and will not come out no matter how many things tried or how long given in my experience. Perfume/makeup smell didn't come out of the other one, but I didn't give it longer than 24 hours. I am frustrated to say the least. Sellers saying there isn't an odor when there clearly is piss me off! I am out $40 of shipping because of the most recent one that lied. She claims she will reimburse for it once it arrives because she is "nice", but she won't reimburse shipping to or from even though this is not my fault. Sigh.

Same here. If the seller doesn't refund me like she said she would then I am filing a chargeback with my credit card because PayPal already said no on the case, but didn't give a reason. I am sure it is the smell thing like you stated. UGH.

Good luck. Probably the same seller too. She said she would give me a refund minus 10% and shipping. And I would be on the hook for return shipping. No thanks. I'm going to see how it smells when I get back. With my luck she will lose it and I will have to then go through a claim with the post office. And even if I video the packing and shipping I have nothing to help me. If it's still gross I'm contacting my cc company. I'm also at a loss with paypal. So much for protection.

Or I may just sale at a loss and DISCLOSE the smell like a responsible seller. SMH!!!

Frustrating to say the least. I was thinking when I video taped myself putting it back in the box to send back to the seller that I wish video could record smell.

I just ordered a PM one from the website because I am not dealing with dishonest sellers anymore lol. Only DE is available online right now. The other small sized canvases are call for availability. I kinda wanted DA, but do slightly worry about wear and tear showing on it. :)

I'm surprised that PayPal wouldn't back you in the return or full refund. The way ebay is acting these days (if that's where you bought it from) it would seem buyers have the most leverage. So far I'm lucky to have more positive preloved buys than negative, but the bad ones sure do over-power the good! I'm thinking I can also re-sell if I can't remove the smell, and of course disclose that info properly.

*Edit: I just re-read that yours was from FB, still surprised about PP's response.

I have the PM agenda in DE print in my shopping cart too. Can't fully commit yet, hehe. I kind of want to buy it in store though because the last time I bought an agenda they threw in the current year planner for free since it was October.

Oh darn, I wish I knew that. I would have tried the local store. The stores near me are over an hour each way and usually out of stock :(

Oh, well possibly if you stop in with your agenda you might mention it casually, hah. Honestly, with their inventory so low I would just grab it when you can, so I'll probably end up ordering it online too.

Lovely, and I have the same luggage tag page finder, probably from the same Seller on Etsy. :P Enjoy!!!
Yes, indeed. Ordered the same thing in a larger size too!. I am going to use the personal size for work and the PM size with my PM agenda for home related things. I put in a big hint that I'd like a personal size agenda for my birthday this month...planning ahead!!!
