I have noticed that the magnet on my Favorite Damier Ebene seems a bit weak and too easily opens. I don't live near LV so I haven't been able to find out if they would call this a defect or not. I still carry it because it stays closed good enough but I reduce the amount I carry because I definitely notice the security of the magnetic closure is more pronounced if I have more items in my bag and I don't mean overpacked either just full. Rather disappointing because if my bag will fit more, I typically want to put more....
My SA told me that the Favorite is definitely being phased out. I told her I was interested in either the mono or ebene print. She said the entire company has less than 10 units of each.
Has anyone purchased a favorite recently and noticed that they have very little structure? I ordered one online and it is so floppy that the flap caves at the top. Normally I love soft canvas, but I assumed this bag would have some stiffness to it. That's at least how it looks in pictures.
I wonder if this is a problem with the canvas items right now. I ordered a mini pochette online and got it in the mail today. It was so floppy and the canvas seemed so thin. I sent it back which is a pity bc it was MIF.
yes!!! i got a brand new MM azur, was so excited to receive it, and when i put my stuff in it looked AWFUL. a girlfriend was there with me and we were both in shock at how sloppy the bag looked. it sagged completely at the bottom and caved in at the top, with like 4 items inside. it went back the very next day. definitely not a favorite bag. i was super confused b/c in pictures it looks quite nice but in person with your stuff inside, it was hideous, i should have taken some pics
Yes I've found the canvas is thinner, I bought a new Eva and it was thin and floppy so ended up selling as I didn't like it like that and bought a pre loved made in 2010 and it was much better structure and thicker.
Yes!!! I received a MM Damier Ebene last week and it is floppy, thin, soft. I have a monogram I purchased a couple months ago and it is definitely not like this at all. I am considering returning it. I don't understand why they changed it all of a sudden.
Well I am glad it isn't just me, but wonder why they made this change. Mine is going back too. I put a zippy coin purse and a 6 ring key holder in mine and it completely caved on itself. Not a good look for this bag. It's too bad. This isn't a bag I will buy preloved (due to the magnet creasing issue) because I wouldn't want any hassle with returns if it had a manufacturing problem.
it is so sad. i have heard so much positivity around this bag that it was a huge disappointment to get it and see what happened. i'm just gonna select another model of bag.
The declining quality of LV bags is not a good look considering how the prices never lower, they just rise higher. Idk if I'll purchase another LV bag after this one.
Interesting that you guys bring up the floppy canvas. I had the MM DE for a minute and when I put my things in it (not even full), the bag bowed in at the top back area. I thought it was weird but I didn't let it bother me until my BF even mentioned it which was rare for him to even care. Also, the flap had a permanent wave on the middle side area, the canvas was sewn sloppily in places under the flap and I could see where the crease line would eventually form. Returning it was for the better even though I miss the idea of the bag a lot.

Yup! I felt the same way about the bowing and wavy look. Mine is on it's way back too.
