The Dallas store has been great to me since I started shopping there at the beginning of 2022. You will be fine!
Hello, when you first started shopping H in 2022, did you just cold call and make a shopping appointment with anyone for your first visit at the Dallas store? Sorry if this has been answered before but I’ve read what I feel to be all the newbie threads and didn’t see this addressed, at least in the context where someone does not have an SA as of yet.

All,
Anyone know how far in advance can SA see bags availability into the store?
They can see all the individual bags the store ordered on their phone (I believe the term is podium order?) but was told they only know when its available when its actually delivered to the store. I was given the ETA of within 1 year for a bag that sounded intriguing from a list that was read to me. It was a very long list! Stock is definitely improving!

Actually I am just wondering normal orders for bag not podium. Anyone know how far in advance SA can see what will be deliver to local stores
Podium is the normal order bags. It is where the store director, manager and other staff go to Paris to actually place an order for bags that they know will sell at their store. Maybe you are thinking about Special Orders? Hope this helps.

“Normal orders“ are podium orders. Can’t speak for Texas stores specifically but the SM can generally see what’s coming in a delivery a few days to a week ahead of time. Some stores share this info with some SAs, some stores share with all SAs, and some stores share with no SAs.

lynn ph, if you still visit I would recommend Austin. All clients have unique experiences. Dallas offered a Constance to me about two years ago, no spending history. I do NOT know why. At the time I did not understand the significance *gasp* so I passed and went elsewhere to pick up I guess a vintage Evelyn I forgot the name.

I think, maybe you are being snubbed or being used by your SA. I have seen blog where this happens, a beautiful person spends $50K+/- to support the brand. No offer. Then a new blog pops up with an influencer talking about hacks with no spend. Silliness.

Austin, I picked up my Constance with .5 spend or less maybe 3 months. At Houston, my experience was limited to three interactions over a year before I quit that store entirely. I have noticed also, I apologize if this is an obscene comment, female SA's tend to be a bit more professionally conversational about clothing, weather, day-to-day. The male SA's I have interacted with personally continue to ask or inquire about my finances- which I do not answer then redirect me to costume jewelry and perfumes. Snubbery. It left a bad taste I went back to Chanel for a while. Respect me and my privacy. Austin is so kind so I am happy to travel there.

lynn ph, for Austin they treat their VIPs particularly well. Spoil them, its so lovely I have heard being a VIP there is rewarding. Not always bags but like conversations, drinks offered, sometimes snacks. Very nice. I am not VIP. I feel comfortable there. I can go, browse and do not feel like I am being stared at if I choose not to spend that day. No hassle, no selling points. Very relaxing. During the weekday it is not crowded either.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I appreciated it. I believe I got a wrong sa so unlucky! I feel He cares more about how much I spend than relationship. So I have not been back to store for almost a month.

In Austin, were you offered your Constance on the spot or knew before you came in the store?

I wish I could. I live in Dallas and and have shopped here for 20+ years back to when Martha was the Manager and I had a great SA. After they left and since, I have had terrible luck with anyone in Dallas. I travelled much over those years so bought at various US boutiques mostly scarves and my Birkin in NYC years ago so my spend was all over the place. I had been promised a Kelly by the original SA and after she left even though I had emails to confirm, the new Manager would not honor but offered me an Evelyn which I bought as I wanted one. She introduced me to a new SA - a male - who was gracious that day but then never responded to emails or calls when there was something I was looking for. During COVID I started buying scarves online. I can only get there on Saturday's and it's crazy busy. I had a scarf return from another boutique and met a new SA - another male - who again very gracious that day, gave me his card, etc - but when I tried to reach him for new season scarves, no reply. I get better service at other stores and now have a few SA's who I text to see if they have something I am looking for and/or shop online and will no longer go to Dallas store. This works for me as I am no longer in the handbag market. Headed to Florida and Vegas in early 24 and will see my SA's in those boutiques.
I miss Martha. Service has been crappy since she left. I shop exclusively in Europe, NY and online as a result.

I’m thinking of taking a trip later this week to the Dallas boutique vs waiting til next year and visiting the SF shop with my favorite SA. My first visit was good, not as great as visiting the SF location, but not terrible by any means. I’m looking for potential Xmas gifts, including the CDC 24 and rainbow buckle, but I’m not sure if those are readily available. I’ll have to decide soon, and I’ll report back with any fun details if I go! 😁
