I swallowed my pride and ordered again (with the new price) so we'll see how this goes. I'm half expecting something to go wrong but we'll see .....

Fingers crossed that everything goes well this time! You would think if they had good service, they would've honored the old price since this was a glitch in their system but oh well... My disco is supposed to arrive this Monday. We'd probably get it at the same time! :)

These stories about online shopping has me scared. I love online shopping (lower tax plus cash back rebates) and I've been lucky so far but nothing lasts forever, right? I'm due for some bad luck. :laugh:

I guess when there's no problem gucci.com is great but when something goes wrong, not so much.
I will definitely prefer to buy from the store in the future!
 
So I ordered a pair of gucci men's sandals online monday and received an email stating that my item would ship by the 20th. It's now the 21st and I have not been charged nor received conformation that my item is shipped. I've spent a grand total of almost 2 hours on hold on the phone in the past day and haven't gotten through to a cs rep. I left a voicemail requesting a call back yesterday morning and haven't been contacted. I also responded to the initial email yesterday morning and have not received a response there either.

This is getting fairly frustrating as it was supposed to be a surprise anniversary gift for my bf next friday but it doesn't seem like it's going to be here in time. I would just go to the boutique and buy them but I don't live near a gucci store but when I was in toronto last weekend I called the boutique and asked them about it and was told they were too busy to check inventory I would have to come to the store in person to check for myself. After getting there I was forced to wait in a line for 20 minutes due to "being at capacity" which was quite frustrating when it took all of 5 minutes to walk inside ask if they had any in stock, received a no then turned around and left.

Is this normal for gucci? Normally when I call Hermes or Dior I'm through to a rep within minutes but this being forced to stay on hold for 40 minutes at a time is an extremely huge turn off.

edit: within 30 seconds of posting this after being on hold for 31 minutes I got a message saying I had been connected to a full voice mailbox and that my call was being disconnected :/ I hate to feel like I'm over reacting but it's very frustrating not being able to have any kind of communication
 
Sorry this happened to you normally Gucci CS is great I was on the phone last Friday (pre-sale)and got straight through got all my questions answered and my SA was very knowledgeable and nice.
 
Why are we put on hold for 30, 45, sometimes 60 minutes when we call the Gucci Customer Service number in the U.S.???

They are the worst! Talk about a non-luxury experience!
