Could’ve afforded it and it would have been a great thing for the community and support. Travis should have stopped thinking of himself and him and Mahones organized something. JJ Watts did after terrible incidents in Houston.

I love how quickly Taylor made the donation. Clearly done without even having to think twice and it wasn’t even something she needed to do.

Very disappointing that we aren’t hearing about anything being done by the team, even on a small scale as a gesture.

Huge tragedy and it’s sad to think that we even need to expect these things.

I will never quite understand why all of Taylor's charitable efforts are made so public. To me, that comes across like she's doing it for PR, not for the cause.
I think it's quite possible that the team has not done anything yet because when they do, it will be more deliberate and organized to make a difference. It's only been two days.

the important thing to me is she did something that makes a difference $100K is pretty substantial
...unlike a certain couple we talk about here who just posture and never give anything significant

If her machine wants to publicize it, let them

She gives back quite a lot but I don’t think it’s done entirely for good PR, though that’s an obvious benefit to her in doing it publicly. I believe she gives to causes that are meaningful to her more then just randomly whatever for good PR.

Hopefully when the team went out for dinner the night of the shooting they discussed what they can do to help the fans and community heal. Looks like they weren’t too bothered by what happened.

Travis paid for the box (though I heard rumors the NFL comped it for him). So it’s not like the optics are bad for Taylor here.

Right. Everyone is waiting to see what he and/or the team will do. So it’s really unfair to pick on Taylor for her donation, even if one wishes to think she only does this to make herself look good. Wasn’t her obligation to do so, yet there it is.

I don't get why a small criticism is described as being so horrible. Yes, she gave money. She gives a lot. She also has a highly crafted public image and a publicist who works her butt off to make sure people are talking about her all the time.
