I can't really say that I have any strong feelings about TS or her relationship, but I do appreciate her craft and the Eras tour was an absolute monster and a pleasure to witness when Megs and our daughter Millie went to the Gelsenkirchen concert last year.

However, I can't help but feel cynical about this whole relationship. It just seems so manipulated and curated for the audience. Like another performance put on to explode onto the public stage with much fanfare.

Another brand growth opportunity. Just like the various easter eggs that keep her fans engaged with her even between album releases, stuff that sparks conversation and embeds her deeply in the modern Zeitgeist.

At what point does a person just become the product? Clearly, she's mega relevant and makes a lot of people a lot of money. That's why I tend to believe that people at that echelon of society don't just date, get engaged, and get married. There are careful considerations of how every move will affect the public image.

But heck, what do I know? I wish them both the best.
Yes, they have weaponized by packaging themselves as products rather than humans.
I’m glad you mentioned that because to me Travis gives off major jerk vibes. On the outside he appears to be a big lug jock who is popular with everyone. I get the impression he can mostly hide his mean streak, but it has occasionally burst out when he couldn’t control his temper.

I think Tay can handle him for now but in 5-10 years …? He strikes me as the type who will be stupid enough to cheat on her and think she’ll never find out.
Agree. I'm a little cynical about this pairing. At the same time of the announcement, Travis is launching his "fashion empire". What an enterprising man!

As a woman, I think Taylor just wants to get married and have children and live a somewhat normal life. Her parents have health issues. But Travis, I feel, is cashing in every opportunity he gets. He knows his athletic career won't last long so he's riding on Taylor's coattails. I don't feel he's the supportive, kind, "stay-in-the-background" kind of man.

If I were to compare, I think Paris Hilton married a shrewd, macro-view man who knows his place, but Taylor picked a "bull in the china shop".
