See , I went insane looking at settings. I was told Halo's werent selling as much, it was trendy, blah, blah , blah. They will be outdated, don't get one.
I come here and they are hotter than ever. I want one again now. Dammit!
I'm safer in the Chanel forum. lol. Can't wait to see your ring and Swanky's. O boy!

Ooo sandwiching eh? I'll have to see a picture missy!!

I think it's nice just to be able to have the option of wearing your e-ring by itself, but if you are completely sure you are always going to be wearing the band with your e-ring, then solder away! But the way the two rings are shaped and how the band is U shaped, I doubt there'll be a lot of shifting/movement. . .so I say just try them on together separated first then solder when it starts to bug you :heart:

I've actually heard the opposite - that haloes are classic and were popular before the solitaire craze so it was a "safe" choice. BUT all things were/become fads at one point!

I wasn't a huge fan of halos before I came on here and then I went into my jewelers and tried on a couple and I started falling in love with them.

Then I see Kohl's Sola ring and Contessa is doing her ring and it all went crazy in my head! I HAD to have one!!!

I'm hoping that this ring won't look outdated anytime in the near future! And regardless if it does...I :heart: it so much, it won't matter!!!

Now I am looking at Halo settings, lol. I just got my setting back this week. haha.

My stone is 1.25, so it would make it look bigger..hmmmm lol maybe double halo!! Honestly my DH doesn't like the halo. When the sa's were saying halo would look dated, he was happy. He likes simple things. I like more bling. Where can I look at nice halo's for round brilliants? LOL.

I just googled halo settings and was brought with a WHOLE bevy of options!! My DF likes whatever makes me happy!!!! :p:p

He knew better than to pick something out because he knew I would probably end up hating it!

All jewelry stores have halo settings!! And then of course the most talked about Leon Mege I hear is an artist when it comes to making halos!!! A double halo will make your 1.25 (which is already a good size!) look like a 2+ carat! LOL.

Ooo, dont say that! I love halos on the cushion cuts, I need to be happy. If I did change anything I would have to be sneaky and do it myself. LOL.
I knew I still loved halos when I went to Tifanny's and tried on Novos.
NYC only had her ring half a year and she upgraded, maybe I should wait a few months and not a week. LOL. I do look at new rings all the time, shrinkage is what it is I guess. How sad of me.
