My ring is actually done resizing and ready for pick up. . . buuuttt another Sola in a slightly bigger carat size has emerged and caught my fancy eye. I am trying to get my SA to bring it in ASAP so I can get it resized ASAP so I can receive it ASAP and I can go back to harping my bf ASAP for a faster proposal :p heheheee.

Just slightly bigger!!! But I think with the double halo, it'll look like a nice increase in size without being too harmful to our/his wallet hehe.

I agree with you but he has this whole idea of planning a proposal, blahblahblah. At this point I want him to just ask me at Tiffany's so I can wear it out of the store LOL but he will never agree to that!

LOL, believe me, I don't think he can go to sleep without hearing my voice asking him about the ring. . .

But he is letting me wear it for the day after we pick it up for resizing (if all goes well and we end up getting the new one) so I guess that's promising??? :D

Well, I had really wanted to start with one eternity band, and work toward a stack. But I tried on a bunch when I was in NYC, and one, or even a couple eternity bands won't suit me as a RHR, I think I just don't have the right hand.

SO, I still want an eternity band, but I want it to stack in between my ER and wedding band. They're both super simple, and I think this would update my look without going crazy.

My little girl is always trying to get DH to buy me flowers. I would rather he saved up for the ring, but what can I do, she's 4 and cute.

Looky, here, I know all about the eternity ring/wedding band search....I've been there!! It's why I decided to just say f**k it and re-set my stones!

My DF did tell me though that if I spend any more money between now and May (our wedding) he was going to cut up my credit cards......I wonder if he's joking! :p

HAHAHA - Your BF has way more patience than my fiance!! I only had to ask like twice for a new setting!! He knew better!!!

Once that puppy gets on your finger, there won't be any getting it off!!!! It's already on your finger, he may as well let you wear it for good!

Besides a Tiffany proposal is so Sweet Home Alabama!!! :p Loves it!!

Hmm. . .Sweet Home Alabama proposal! :thinkin: He wants to make it special and memorable so when I tell all my gfs, they will "oohh" and "aww" over the story LOL. He doesn't want to be "that lame guy" who did an uncreative proposal.

Personally, I don't care about that stuff - esp now since I know it's coming!!! I'm more excited about the prospect of marrying him than the whole fanfare of the engagement/process!

Maybe after seeing the ring on me after the resizing, I'll just demand him to propose to me right then and there LOL.

Everyone is so crazy over angry birds!!! My bf's 3 year old nephew plays it on his dad's android phone all the time. . .I don't think it's very good for him but I'm not his mom!

Eternity bands are on my to-do list as well! I wonder if I should get half band (to save $$) but there is just something so charming about having diamonds all the way around. . .

I would demand he propose right then and there!!! HA - my fiance did it in a very creative, yet not so romantic way ever!!! We had a LD relationship before he moved and we were driving TO the Cleveland airport so we could both make flights. I was on a flight to NYC and he was flying back to Minnesota, anyway, long story short, his flight got delayed and mine was taking off on time, so we had like 2 hours to kill.

Anyway, we were just sitting there in the airport and he just turned towards me and said "I can't live the rest of my life without you, I'm moving to you, oh, and by the way, will you marry me?"

I had no idea if he was serious...he was, he got down on one knee in the middle of the terminal. I, of course, said yes, as people are looking on!!! People actually cheered when I said yes....I felt like I was in a really bad romantic comedy! He said he'd been trying to find the right moment all week. He didn't have a ring, he said I could pick it out myself (smart man!) and the rest is history!

I just think you fiance needs to do it! The difference is, you already know it's coming!! He should just let you keep wearing it!! Besides a ring like that shouldn't just sit in it's pretty blue box!! :p

nyc_cady, I was smiling the ENTIRE time I was reading about your proposal. How adorable and sweet :love: It was really simple but he must've really surprised you!

It was also really smart how he told you that you can choose your own ring. :tup: My bf basically said the same thing. . .but he hasn't proposed yet LOL. The original ring you picked is really lovely and beautiful - the stones are so white and brilliant. Three stone rings are really special because I think of the representation of the past, present and future. Buuttt. . .I think the haloes will make the diamonds even more spectacular! The setting you chose (I stopped here and took another look at the pictures and literally sighed :girlsigh:!) is so intricate and stunning from all angles that I really can't wait to see the final result!! :drool: You are such a lucky girl! Your DF is amazing and sooo sweet to you!

You ladies are so lucky, you dont really see anything like your Halo settings in the UK I think us Brits must be a bit boring, you mainly see just a plain solitaire setting, which is what I have but I'm loving the Halo more & more.
