You ladies are so lucky, you dont really see anything like your Halo settings in the UK I think us Brits must be a bit boring, you mainly see just a plain solitaire setting, which is what I have but I'm loving the Halo more & more.

Thank you!! I'm going to London next fall, maybe I can start a halo revolution when I'm there! :p

Can't wait to see this on your hand! It is going to be gorgeous!!!

Thank you!!

Neeeeiiin! Oh I really liked your original ring. I notice your avatar all the time. No matter, perhaps I will be swayed when we see your finished rings!!

The first dissenter!!! :p I loved my original ring, it let my stones take center stage, but there is just something about this setting that I !!! Worse case is if I hate it, I still have my original setting sitting in a box! :D

nyc_cady, I was smiling the ENTIRE time I was reading about your proposal. How adorable and sweet  It was really simple but he must've really surprised you!

It was also really smart how he told you that you can choose your own ring. My bf basically said the same thing. . .but he hasn't proposed yet LOL. The original ring you picked is really lovely and beautiful - the stones are so white and brilliant. Three stone rings are really special because I think of the representation of the past, present and future. Buuttt. . .I think the haloes will make the diamonds even more spectacular! The setting you chose (I stopped here and took another look at the pictures and literally sighed :girlsigh:!) is so intricate and stunning from all angles that I really can't wait to see the final result!! You are such a lucky girl! Your DF is amazing and sooo sweet to you!

Awww.......thank you!! I picked my stones for their color and brilliance! That was way more important to me than size!

Look, I think that your BF letting you pick your own ring was a proposal in itself! I mean I have an airport proposal!! I don't think that you need an "good" proposal story to have an amazing love story!! My DF and I's relationship is 10 years in the making! We dated freshman year of college 10 years ago, broke up, life all happened in between and found each other on Facebook 3 years ago!!

P.S. I can't wait to see YOUR ring on your finger for good!!!!! You so made the right choice!!!

You are TOO adorable. I'll tell him just that! We don't need a crazy elaborate or even romantic proposal to have an amazing love story! I love it!!! I always thought I wanted one but being with him, none of that really matters :D

WOW ten years! So glad you guys found each other again. Your story seems so awfully romantic and "meant to be." My bf and I actually went to middle school and high school together but since I am younger, he never knew of my existence. . .LOL. So when I spotted him one Friday evening and called out his name, he was entirely baffled and was like "you know my name?? " haha. I answered with "yeah, don't you remember? We played clarinet in middle school band.. . .?" After trying to make him "remember" I felt so embarrassed and a bit like a stalker (I just happen to have amazing memory!!!), so I quickly said good night and literally ran away LOL. He ran after me and gave me some lame excuse about wanting my number. . .but I fell for it and the rest is history :p

Hehe, I can't wait for my ring either. . .I dream about it every night and wake up with it on my mind every morning LOL

Awww......that's so awesome!!! He sounds adorable!! Makes my heart melt!! My DF isn't exactly "romantic", but he's the sweetest guy in the world! Like I can't see him doing the whole rose petals and candles bit. He's more "practical"....I mean he works in a laboratory....he's all about the science of things! :p

I think you can convince your DF to let you wear it!! I mean it's not like you're going to say no!! :p

I love how you call him my DF already! LOL. That's true. The biggest hurdle was overcome recently (him telling his parents about his plan of proposing to me) . . .so now it's just the waiting game/nagging-to-death.

My bf is practical too! I think in the end, our men just want to make us happy and will do anything they can do to make it a reality. :cloud9:

Wow, nyc_cady! I have tried so hard to find a halo setting for a 3 stone ring and apparently, not hard enough since you found this gem! I want to reset my 3-stone that looks just like your original into something JUST like that and cannot find anything! Can you please PM me the name of the jeweler you are buying it from?

Absolutely stunning and I am so excited for you!

Okay, ring is officially ordered!! My jeweler told me today that if I behave myself and keep buying jewelry, he may be able to set my diamonds in it in 2 days instead of a week!!! :p :p Which means that bad boy is on my finger sooner!!!!

Now, the question I have....to solder or not to solder???? Thoughts??

I agree, leave it alone for a while. You may want to wear it alone. The ring is amazing! How long have you had the original setting?

LOL! I've only had my original setting since June!! I love my lattice setting now, but I WAS originally wanting something with sidestones. I ended up settling more or less on this one because it took me 2 months to find my center stone. I just wanted it on my finger!! :p

And then I get on here and discover this "halo phenomenon" and I'm sold.

BTW, I can't wait to see it! That is a FAST turnaround time! I am so jealous!!! I want my ring in two days LOL

You and me both, sista!!!

I probably won't wear the wedding band(s) on their own, I'm getting two of them to "sandwich" my engagement ring. Which is why I'm wondering if I should solder now....
