I haven't had colour transfer issues either. But when holding your handles do realize that oils and so forth can transfer onto them and eventually darken overtime. That is with any light coloured bag regardless of brand.

My very first Prada Saffiano wallet has 2 long and deep scratches... I don't know how it happened. I only had it for a month.

Is there any salvation for it? Or will the scratch be permanent...?

i talked to a prada SA today (trying to decide my bag n colour) he said colour transfer could happen and if you wear jeans a lot he wouldn't recommend me getting the cammeo. but the cammeo is lighter than caramel and argilla by quite a bit.

There's always a possibility for sure. I don't wear blue jeans much but I wear black jeans often and haven't had colour transfer to my cammeo...I also wear red jeans often and no issues with my pomice.

Hi all,

I spent a ton of time looking for my tricolored saffiano wallet and have tried to baby it, but the edges are getting really worn (and it's not getting that much use even). If that weren't driving me batty already, somehow, today, I looked in my purse for my wallet and noticed that there was a big and deep scratch all along the back. I don't even know what caused it. ACK! This is definitely not the kind of durability that I have heard about and expected of the amazing saffiano leather. Any suggestions for what to do about the big scratch? I've attached pics of the scratch and the edge wear and would appreciate advice on helping with both.

Thanks in advance!

Wow, that is really bad! When my boyfriend's sister bought me the same wallet from the US, I found a scratch on the leather in mine. But I just can't be bothered driving one hour to the city (Sydney, Australia) to get mine exchanged. And I thought my scratch was bad.

Oh wow!!! I've had my saff continertial wallet for almost 2 yrs now and mine is still perfect! Can you bring it back to Prada and get it repaired. They should have a 1 yr warranty.

Warranty is only for hardware and not leather. They wouldn't agree to repair this scratch/peel on the leather that I found after my 4th time wearing my prada bag. I was so pissed off because they told me all leather eventually peel. But I only had the bag for less than 1 month and worn it once every weekend in good weather since I bought it. So I don't understand how I could have scratched my bag, even though I baby my bag.

IMHO, at almost $600 per wallet, they should at least offer to fix it at a discounted rate. Yes, all leather peels ultimately, but I also expect it to be able to withstand at least regular use. What's the point of having a wallet that you have to carry it around wrapped in soft fabric inside one's purse?

Does spazzolato leather peel?? Or do anything otherwise ugly?

This type of leather is high maintenance as anything patent is. Be careful of colour transfer and marks from pens and so forth as this is not fixable. Also store in cool places as patent can become sticky in humid weather. Beautiful though...but definitely something you have to consider if you are not ready to care for it properly.

I kind of want to return it to NM, but it will have been 2 months since I got it. The smell of the chemicals used is really strong. Its BNIB with receipt. I suspect they would give me a credit?

It was purchased at the end of May sale.

Edit to say: 30 days for sale items. Oh well, I'll have to pamper it then! :-)

Hi ladies,

Would like some opinion on how to "fix" (if fixable) my prada. She is only 2 years old and unfortunately for her, i love her too much and use her ever single day :( She is lambskin and there are some scruff marks on the back of the bag. Would like to know if a spa can fix her, or if you'd know if anything else can fix her.

I dont really mind the peeling, but i'm kind of worried if it would peel further and cause a tear into the leather eventually.

She is my one and only Prada, i should have taken better care of her. But it's never too late right?
