Yah, that rando Twitter account is also misogynistic and overly nasty. I’ll wait for something official to come out; with all this scrutiny if there’s something to be found, we’ll hear about it.

A lot of what he writes also really just doesn’t make sense, for example, saying that they already owned sewing machines so they shouldn’t be raising money for their sewing programs. I mean… that’s silly.

He’d be shocked to see that lots and lots of nonprofits ask for donations yet still use Apple products (Not to mention they could be old, refurbished, personal laptops, etc.)

Suspicious:

The incident under discussion was about a roughly 150-word exchange between two women in a crowded room. With impressive near-perfect recall despite describing the rest of the evening as a ‘blur’ because of the distress that Lady Hussey’s ‘interrogation’ allegedly caused her, Fulani published a ‘transcript’ a few hours later. Either Fulani is relying on always contestable memory (‘different recollections’ and all that) which cannot be contradicted because of Lady Hussey’s dignified silence, or else the conversation was recorded in breach of etiquette. If the latter, suspicions of a set-up will only harden.

These opinion writers who think it’s beyond the realm of possibility that an 83-year old “lady” could be out of touch kill me. I’d take them more seriously if they’d acknowledge that yes, perhaps she misstepped in her questioning. I’m not sure why people seem to really struggle to accept that they possibly both acted badly.

The author, Ramesh Thakur, has other...interesting ... beliefs. Such as advocating for prosecuting doctors and other health care workers for COVID restrictions, denying climate change and apparently questioning the 2020 US election results.

It is embarrassing that not one journalist has asked her why her getting attacked on Twitter constitutes a real threat to anonymous women using the service, why the service can’t run with her in a leave of absence if her fame is the threat to safety and how social media trolls are a greater threat to a woman’s safety than a partner who has assaulted her.

I think lots of journalists have been quick to write what they think fashionable on first sight - without having second thoughts.
Why waste time with some closer investigation? That would be too much work - no time for that ....

As I said before, the last word has not yet been spoken in this case.

IMO the idea that God made someone better than everyone else because of who they’re born to has no place in modern times.
