I had no idea about the price of Valextra until 2 weeks ago when a friend of mine over at SF asked me to take delivery of a bag-type thing from eBay.

I've just aboutheard of Bottega and I would have no idea of what Delvaux offers (as I've only heard of them from you).

I think that I would be called a "bag virgin" as I just see wallets as things to stuff receipts and cards in. Sorry :shrugs:

^^ I've got a couple of Mulberry breast wallets also. However, I didn't know the correct title for them, I just used the term large wallet that cannot fit inside your trouser pocket without having to be folded. Do you think that it will catch on?

here is a celeste intrecciato VN wallet from BV. don't ask me why they call it that vs. the clearly more popular term "breast wallet." BV is very nice if you want something soft to pet surreptitiously in your breast pocket. nappa is a soft leather and will tend to show wear more than, say a hard as nails LV wallet.... but so nice and no big flashy logo... there is also a color called bottle from last season if you wanted to go the way of mafoofan. seasonal colors go on sale for 30% off in Dec. and June-ish?

Thanks, that's much nearer to my price range. I'd have to see it up close. I'll have to take a trip to London in the next month or so to see what they have.

Or you can stick with your Mulberry ones. If the men's wallets are anything like the women's, those suckers can probably survive a nuclear war (and be carried by the cockroaches and Cher afterwards). I think Mulberry makes great products at reasonable price points, kind of like Coach in the late 80s/early 90s.

Suddenly I feel like an old bag and her old bags...
