Strap Sewn On

I agree with TMitch6542 and the others.. I've never seen any Bal like this. If it is something new, then the paper tag doesn't go with this bag, since at least one of us would have seen a 2009 bag like this.

If you see another one like this I'll be very surprised. I think someone returned this with a different strap.

I have a PT from 2009 and the strap was not sewn on and is clipped just like the other styles... The strap also came with a shoulder pad...

I also have a 09 f/w Black PT... and my straps aren't sewn on. Hmm.. return it 1st thing tomorrow morning ~! and exchange it for another.

Whoa! Twilight Zone!! Is it weird that I saw that and actually gasped? I can't imagine not being able to take the strap off! I would definitely take it back without hesitation. Who knows what the heck has been done to that bag. Even if it was a defect in production it's still too risky to bank on it being good for resale later on. The SA saying that it was a "new thing" is fishy too. She either doesn't know what she's talking about or she knows something is off about it and tried to sell it.

I hope they let you return it, it is very strange, I haven't heard of anything like that before!

I hope you can talk to the original SA because a sales assoc. that knows better might not believe you. She might think you are returning a different bag than what they actually sold you. After getting it returned, I would talk to a manager about what is up with that style.

i've looked at a lot of 2009 bags at barneys, and none have the strap sewn on like that. i'd go back to the store and compare/exchange.

I don't see how a "boo boo" that obvious could ever get through their quality control department.
