I thoroughly enjoyed your backstory, dear MM; it's fascinating how we all got hooked on this brand (although I'm personally not so keen on the current offerings). Do you have any Mabels in your collection? It's such a fabulous bag: lightweight, amazingly easy to organise, loads of storage (big central section, 2 slide side pockets), shoulder/handheld options etc ... It's definitely the style I wish they'd never discontinued.
Here's my rose pink goatskin Mabel:

Mayfly, what an elegant bag in a swoon worthy color! I love subtle pinks and that Mabel is TDF! No, never had a Mabel, though have been sorely tempted...she appears to combine the ease of organization that I love (I think you just get to a point in life where enough is enough with the impractical larger bags that you can never find anything in!) with an elegant profile. And lighter weight? Ah, that's a big bonus. Thank you so much for the pic, she's divine! I may be persuaded....:girlsigh:

My family from earlier this year and I am biting the bullet and sharing the bags I am just not using. ..deep breath....An oak mini Alexa is a major keeper, but the picture won't load.
I have just said goodbye to the red Alexa, :noworry: as I was just not using her. The black buckle bays is going to my eldest daughter as a Christmas present...it's a good home and she will look after her.
I don't think I can bear to prune anymore and have put the money aside for a new purchase. ( I also sold a Chloe Marcie satchel I loved but did not use).
I want to ease the pain by using the money It am having no luck yet. I am looking for a navy bag with silver hardware. I love the Mabel's but also have an eye on the Cheyenne ( spelling???) and Winsley style.
Hopefullly I have done the right thing.

Hello to everybody, I am a squirrel who lives near the coast of the Baltic sea, and people and squirrels here are said to be a bit slow, that's why it took me so long to find this wonderful thread with beautiful pictures and consoling replys concerning the collection of nuts. I have lead a calm (see pictures of me sitting in my garden or on the terrace) life until in April this year I was travelling to London and bought a stunning Lily in glossy goat at Heathrow, the most expensive bag I have ever bought at that moment. I watched and read internet forums, saw this wonderful forum and got addicted. The bays in oak followed, the small double zip tote - and I was a bit afraid of losing control. One month stop, then I saw a preloved roxanne in a secondhand shop, then the Mulberry summer sale came,,, and so on. Now I am the happy owner of 14 Mulberry bags and I love each of them. I use my sbs in black and oak very often now, love the regular bays in oak but do not use it so often because it raining so much here . I use the preloved bays in black darwin more often, it seems to be indestructable. I have bought a preloved Mulberry Luella Gisele which I only used once, it is not so practical, but I love it as iti is unique and the thick harness leather is fantastic.
My DH was a bit worried, but after I explained to him why I love the Mulberry bags so much, it was him who gave me the sbs oak for our 10th wedding anniversery.
I would not sell one single of my mulberry bags, I sold other cheaper bags, because I have made the experience that carrying a really good and pretty bag can save a whole day. For dirty floors in bars or similar occasions I use cheaper bags, but I use a Mulberry bag nearly every day. The green Roxanne has a pause, I'll use her again in spring.

It was so consoling reading about other squirrels, thanks! There are still some Mulbs on my wishlist - a blue sdr and a lily in oak for example, but as I do not like the newer Mulbs, I am a bit calmer now that I am not completely gone mad. Thanks Ludmilla for this great thread!

Welcome Betty Kay to the Squirrel Family! Love your pictures. You sound like you have amassed quite a stunning collection--or should I say a cache--of divine and tasty nuts! Green Roxy? Apple, Olive or Emerald? Green is my favourite color of all, so must ask. You are in good company, we all have a "list" of new nuts we dream of.

Thank you very much! I am also a huge fan of of green colours. About the color of the Roxy I am not really sure, the leather is antique glacé, it could be Apple, a bit faded out, or verdigris. Here is a picture of her. What do you think? One buckle has been obviously replaced, I am still looking for a buckle that fits better.

Lovely green, what ever the name is. Classic Mulberrys, love them.

I'm with Vinnie, whatever the color, it is edible! Your other Oak Roxy sitting shyly to the side is also lovely. You and I share the green gene, so to speak. Green is my dream color, the deeper the better! I have a rather badly faded pre-owned Apple Roxy and I love her just the same. (must admit, would have loved to have seen her in her pre-fade glory days, but then we all get a bit more interesting looking with age )
As far as the buckle, I know that Mulberry will replace, though not sure if you're near to one or could post perhaps? I recently acquired an Elgin, my first and the entire buckle and leather whatchamacallit mechanism in the front was missing--until I figure out replacement, I'm using an antique brass belt buckle brooch to do the honors. Your Roxy looks like she functions just fine too.
