Scarf mail today. Faubourg Tropical in bleu/vert/jaune, CW06. I wish there was a colorway where the bird of paradise flowers were their natural orange, but there isn't, so I picked the colorway where these flowers had the most color. I like the brown color of the animals and the orange awnings on the building. The snake is easy to spot in this colorway, but our family resembles that in the play "You Can't Take It with You", complete with a pet snake in our living room. My brother even once made gun powder in the basement after watching an episode of "Daniel Boone" where the recipe was given. (This was back before the Internet existed. My father caught him. Brother: Oh, it won't work. Our dad: Don't be so sure of that. They carried it outside and exploded it.)

My take is that Faubourg Tropical is a gorgeous summer scarf in vibrant pastals. I don't have anything similar, so I'm planning on keeping it.

Ugggggh I love all three.....
Stunning! Thanks for posting @Notorious Pink @momoc . The red and navy CWs are on my wishlist now!
Well, I tried to resist. Really, I did...:giggle:
Space Derby in cw 22, noir/blanc/gold; color family HG (sorry, forgot to take a pic of the tag.
Sorry no serious mod shot as this is going on the wall. I say that a lot, I know. But this scarf is special. For a start the hem. I just love the rainbow! I know that a white border is not always to everyone's taste but in this instance it operates as a visual break between the hem and the main design. A photo of the reverse is included an you will see a very high colour saturation on the reverse. Enjoy!

That rainbow hem is TDF. Beautiful photos. Like you I like the white border to set it off.

Ombre Alert! I'm one of those pedants who buys scarves in all the colourways just so I can enjoy the design - so this post was always going to happen. I didn't buy this for the wall and that's just as well because I plan on wearing it until it falls apart. And yes in irl it shimmers: Space Derby Orange/Creme/Roux.View attachment 4963427View attachment 4963428View attachment 4963430View attachment 4963431View attachment 4963432
Wow again that hem is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing how this CW shimmers!
Here is a quick mod shot of my first scarf of the new season: La Marche du Zambeze CW 14 orange/brun/caramel Such a breathtaking design and the colors are so so gorgeous Did you ever buy a lipstick just because of the name? I did yesterday, the name of the lipstick is "Orange Danger". And this is exactly where I always am. I will take more pics of the scarf tomorrow.

Beautiful!! Thanks for the photos! I have a major snake phobia but I think I'll just have to find a way to hid him and just tell myself its not there.

I struggled to decide between these two colorways as well. Frankly, I think either one will be great to own.

You are welcome. The comments about snakes are why I showed that bias fold mod shot where the snake is hidden. That was quickly done and my first bias fold. I didn’t do anything special, so I think you will be fine.
