On the other end of the brightness spectrum, here are more shots of my MdZ wash scarf. The wash texture is indeed scrumptious! So wearable, this has hardly left my neck since it showed up. The rose pale color is hard to capture in a photo, it definitely appears lilac-leaning pink IRL, not creme or gray. The first photo is the most color-accurate. Studying the scarf further, the "dip-dye-like" effect seems to originate from the base fabric itself. I think the entire fabric of the scarf is rose pale (including hem), then the rest of the design was printed on top of that, so every color is suffused with the rose pale, making for a very soft and low-contrast effect. For sure not as low contrast as a true dip dye, but you can tell that the scarf is not a bunch of colors separately printed on a white/plain silk. Thoughts? The first picture is most color-accurate in my opinion.

I know you love purples ... it is so beautiful on you Langsam ... esp. the 2nd knot!

Sigh.... Gorgeous! I see that slight dip-dye effect that you describe and I love it! This is a lovely, classic CW of this amazing design
Thank you @Living.la.vida.fifi I love your bright yellow color way too!

Ohhh totally missed the washed part...I was blinded by how great it looked on you:facepalm::giggle:
I would assume that the wash scarves will all be more toned down / less shiny compared to the regular silks, so makes sense to go with the less bright CW if I go wash. WFH has definitely made my dressing a lot more casual too...

I hope both versions are coming to my store and I can get to see them! Thank you :hbeat:
I love the casual-ness of the wash scarves. I think there will be more of this format in my future ...

Stunning, langsam!
Thank you kindly @Awillow !

Thank you for the inspiration, Langsam! MdZ is so beautiful on you that i placed order for the same CW, as i saw it.
I'm glad my photos inspired you @VCA21 ! I hope it's a winner for you!

So tempting!!! Thanks for all the info and these great pix. I love the idea of an entirely rose-pale base. Won't that do wonders for the complexion?
Exactly @momasaurus ! I don't think the warm creme of the original issue would have worked for me. It's a fantastic Zoom meeting scarf, with the flattering base color and interesting (yet soft, in this cw) pattern.

What? They are messing around with the fabric tags again? Good luck to future authenticators.
LoL!

Am I crazy, or does it seem like this CW of Zambeze (bleu ciel / bleu jean / rose) has fewer different colors than the others? Do they do that? View attachment 4961525
Agree with you @momasaurus . I would have gone for this cw if it had a bit more color variety. The blues do look gorgeous tho.

Beautiful on you Langsam! I’m loving this cw more seeing it modeled. Thank you !
Thank you @Foxy trini ! I very much look forward to seeing your choice!

I know you love purples ... it is so beautiful on you Langsam ... esp. the 2nd knot!
Thank you @Croisette7 ! The knot is just a loose/not-very-neat asymmetric wrap, tied up close around the neck and "fluffed just so". The background color is so interesting. When I look at it I perceive pink, but it has a lot of cool-toned purple in it. My lipstick is the most purple-leaning lippie that I own.

Sorry no serious mod shot as this is going on the wall. I say that a lot, I know. But this scarf is special. For a start the hem. I just love the rainbow! I know that a white border is not always to everyone's taste but in this instance it operates as a visual break between the hem and the main design. A photo of the reverse is included an you will see a very high colour saturation on the reverse. Enjoy!

Ohhhhh thank you so much for these shots. I love, love, love the colors of this scarf and I'm a sci-fi geek so I love the theme as well. This may be the one and only scarf I get this season <3

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. Happy to share my pictures, especially since this is a scarf that is so much nicer in person. In fact it’s a perfect example of how scale affects our appreciation of a design (ie the Hermes pics don’t do it justice). Hope you are all staying safe.

Well, as it happens I have an all-purple neutral-ish nail polish collection on hand for comparison. Zoya's Naturel 4 collection looks so at home with this scarf!

Lovely, courageous Langsam. No matter how tightly those caps were on, I would have had a little heart attack putting all those bottles on that lovely scarf!

Great mod shots! Such a wonderful, classic CW! If I didn’t have the white already, this would have been my first choice
