Nice! Thank you for showing a few different ties. Looks versatile!
Thank you. I wasn't sure because unlike the maxi twilly format it isn't double sided, but it is light and I think will be nice for summer.
Stunning. Indeed, I went to see it IRL today and it reads very much silvery in person. Pity I cannot wear it but it looks fabulous on the lucky ladies who can. Doing an amazing job with the knots, really showing the versatility of the design.
It is really pretty. I've used the green one more, but think this one could go year round, whereas the green is definitely a spring scarf.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I like to do the mod shots outside in natural light. This is how I find the real colors are shown best. Inside does not work for me, it all looks so yellow-ish.
And yes, I agree, sometimes the photos on Instagram do not show the true colors when pepole use all these filters. ;)
Your mod shots are always amazing! And I agree about the lighting-- nice to see the silks in natural light.
This looks fantastic on you! I'm very intrigued by this format. I think they're intending that this will replace the Maxi Twilly Slim.
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, the SA at Short Hills had only two maxi twilly slims. I own only two maxi twillies (actually love them) and two maxi twilly slims so I was curious about this, too. Happy I tried it.
Thanks again for the lovely photos! This just made an appearance on the US site and I snapped it up, hoping it ships. PSA for anyone else in States.
Congratulations @Foxy trini! We have quite different coloring but often pick the same cws so I will be curious how you like it on.

Scarfmail today brought me En Roue Libre Chemise CW17.

Not sure if I wanna keep it.

On the plus side, I love love love the bright pink, blue and yellow together. Those are three of my favorite colors. As a huge fan of contrast hems, the navy hem here also appeals to me.

On the other hand, this is my first Chemise/Wash scarf and I'm shocked by how thin and flimsy the fabric feels. If I hadn't ordered this from h.com I would almost think it was a knock-off. Even the hem is thinner than normal! I was under the impression that wash scarves would be softer and flowy, but this feels almost brittle, like crepe paper. I missed the luxurious feel of proper twill.

And finally, the biggest downside: this thing wrinkles like mad! When I get a new scarf the first thing I do is always take modshots with a bunch of different knots. As I do this quickly, the twill scarves don't get wrinkled after. But after just 3-4 minutes of modshots, this scarf was a wrinkled mess, as you can see from the last picture. I HATE ironing so not sure if it's gonna be worth keeping this one. I do love the colors though  Will decide in the next few days. What do you all think? If anyone has positive experiences to share with Chemise/wash scarves I would appreciate hearing it!

Like you, I adore the colors and design. I don't find my two wash scarves to feel flimsy but the steamer definitely comes out more often for those two. I do not see out the wash option if the silk twill is available for just that reason. I love the chemise look, too. Keep us posted on your decision. It is lovely.

Just chipping in with my two cents. I felt a chemise silk 140 the other day in store and dare I say it, feels cheap.

Wash silk has a bit of a velvety feel to it and feels much nicer than the chemise silk but it does wrinkle like crazy.

My advise would be buy a wash version to compare the feel of your chemise silk to, though if wrinkles will drive you mad, best stick to regular twill scarves:lol::heart:

I am in agreement. For the past 2 or 3 years now, I have only purchased Wash silk 90 cms. I don't find them to wrinkle more than the silk twill. I think your post is helpful that specifies there is a distinct difference between "chemise silk" which isn't the old chemise which was like a chemise shirt (these have been discontinued for several years). The point is, this new "chemise silk" which looks to have the eyeliner effect is different than the wash silk which is heavier. I am interested, the only one this season, in En Roue libre design in wash silk and am waiting for it to come in. I also may consider the Selles saddle scarf in wash silk. I saw the one in green and it was stunning.

Sooo, after two damaged carres and a lost package I took a leap of faith and ordered two of the surteint surprise scarves.. :giggle:
These are most probably not for everyone, but I´m a big fan!

Also the colour shown in the stock photos is very accurate for these...
Ordering the blind boxes turned out well for me..
And of course I did a fun video on it too :flowers:

will post better mod shots later on..

Finally I got to watch one of your cute videos - great job! And I love, love, love these two scarves - do you happen to have a style number so that I can ask my SA to help me hunt one down? Merci!! Looking forward to more videos, too!

If you're not sure....don't keep it. I regret everything I've kept when on the fence.

Scarf newbie here, can anyone tell me if the Collier Et Chiens scarf pattern (the one with all the little dog portraits) is a seasonal pattern or available regularly? I am trying to be sensible, but the 90 x 90 wash scarf on US website is so cute - just trying to figure out if I would be regretful if I pass on it now and it's hard to find in the future...

You always look marvellous and style your scarfs beautifully, sonnetsofsilk. That scarf knot on your last photo is stunning. And it‘s a even perfect match with your handbag!
I'll second that! I have that same scarf coming in the orange.....thought it would be great for the summer. However, her color combination is a must have.....I have to stop thinking about it. But, can I?
