Welcome to the slippery orange slope! You have already figured out one thing - be ready to buy so you can move quickly when you see something that you love!

Brides de Gala is indeed one of the classic H scarf designs. I am not a true fan, so to me it feels like it is reissued about every 20 minutes! But, as LadyBaga pointed out, the reissue is not the same. Sometimes the design is tweaked, the colors are pretty much always different, or it may be the same pattern but in a different format. (For example, a design is originally 90 cm, but in a subsequent season is done in different colors and in a 140 cm.)

I believe that the CDC pattern that you got is a re-issue - the original did not have the border with all of those cute dog pix. The Zambezi scarf is also a re-issue, I haven’t looked at it super closely as I have the one I wanted, but in that scarf the design is the same as the original, but the colorations are different. I believe that the Zambezi in black this season is actually the same colors as the original black, though I didn’t look super closely to confirm. If that is true, then it is the first time that I can recall that happening.

Three Graces has not yet been re-issued as a 90 cm scarf, but it has been made in several formats. So there is a 90 cm, a 140 cm and, I believe, a gavroche, which is a 45 cm. If you see one of those that you love, I would grab it now. The artist behind Three Graces, Alice Shirley is relatively new to the H world, but she is immensely popular and has designed a scarf per season, for the last few seasons.

We are just about on top of the start of a new scarf season - there are 2 per year. Keep an out for the thread for the A/W 2021 season and you can see how the process works. If you have the time, you can browse through the threads for other seasons, though they tend to be very large threads...

Sorry this is TMI!!
Perfectly stated! Yes the CdC is a reissue with the cute pups on the border. (I have the original and a maxi twilly and a pair of twillies in the original.)

Thanks for all the experienced advice! I am learning quickly that part of H shopping involves being ready to commit to a purchase whenever the opportunity arrives... Ordered the red and navy wash scarf and super excited.
Some designs, like Brides de Gala and the Three Graces, do seem to be classic staples, correct? And is the La Marche du Zambeze pattern a seasonal release? I have a weakness for prints with animals
Luvbolide has the best explanation. BdG is "transformed" in many iterations, colorways etc... Three Graces , as a reissue in the 90 format, has not occurred. This is a relatively new pattern. I am hoping Alice Shirley's Under the Waves will be reissued as a cashmere silk shawl one day...

Sorry to be off topic since this is actually a thread to discuss the current season.
Welcome to the orange slope!

This is so pretty on you, Cookie! Perfect with your gorgeous skin and hair!
Thank you sweetheart!
Well, y'all have finally put me over the edge on this cw. And OF COURSE it is now gone from the website, darn. And - wow you have modeled this gorgeously. Love it with the cool-toned beige sweater.
Thank you! I think it will also look marvelous with grayish taupes, steely blues, gray (of course!), and it pops against black!

Finally I got to watch one of your cute videos - great job! And I love, love, love these two scarves - do you happen to have a style number so that I can ask my SA to help me hunt one down? Merci!! Looking forward to more videos, too!
Thanks a lot ! :amuse: My receipt says
H113737SU02 pink and H113721SU00 for the blue one. Good luck finding them, they are gorgeous and super easy to wear ! !

Scarf newbie here, can anyone tell me if the Collier Et Chiens scarf pattern (the one with all the little dog portraits) is a seasonal pattern or available regularly? I am trying to be sensible, but the 90 x 90 wash scarf on US website is so cute - just trying to figure out if I would be regretful if I pass on it now and it's hard to find in the future...

This pattern is my favorite (i am a dog lover). I was late to the party but my SA still had a few CW To offer when i purchased mine at end of March

I ended up getting the light blue and the pink cws

I am still hunting down the twilly

Thanks abba! Are you in the states? I stalk the us website a lot and can ping you if it shows up again there? & thank you!
Yes, I am in the states. I have a scarf, similar in colors but not Hermes, which keeps me calm for the time being. So, as much as I appreciate your offer, what I don't know won't hurt. I can't justify the purchase....if you 'ping' me an alert.....I'm too weak to resist. Frankly, I'm running out of life....not sick....just 'up there' and run errands mostly. My mother told me decades ago, the time will come when you find your social life is in Dr's waiting rooms. She was right! However, I still can't leave the house without looking a little chic. These days my uniform is a white shirt, a scarf, and a great bag. It's amazing how a quality scarf can turn jeans and a white shirt into something extra special. You know what else happens when one is 'up there'? You answer a simple question with too much information! I should have stopped at the second sentence which was plenty but....oh no.....can't do that anymore. Thanks so much for your offer. BTW.....the US website, I think that's where I go....are there others?

Thank you for you post and NO it wasn't TMI! For those of us relatively new on the scene, we crave more information.

Only two releases a year? A/W thread? Any idea how many pieces each design produces?

La Pegase 140 wash. I wasn't sure if I would keep this one, it stayed in the box for a few weeks. Once I decided to keep it I've really enjoyed wearing it. A surprisingly versatile colour way.
Great Picture! Looks like a Disney garden.....squirrels and bunnies are going to hop out any moment and start singing....'it's a small small world'....and you're their princess.

Ok, that was weird, but it's late and I'm high on root beer.
