Spend threshold for B/K/C

Based on my personal experience, it is advisable not to request a second (QB) from your SA, especially if you are still considered a new customer. It is important to avoid overthinking the two QB per year rule and instead focus on enjoying your H trip. Giving your SA some time before asking for another QB can help them feel less pressured to meet your expectations and may result in better offers for you. Your good relationship with them can also help you reach a higher level of offers that your spending alone might not entitle you to.
Great advice here thanks. Although, I'm not sure why you think I was planning on asking for another QB before the end of year. All I said was that I am planning on doing some more general shopping before the holidays. I'm not gunning for another QB specifically, and it's more like as a new client I am interested in observing what will happen before the end of year. It's nbd if no bag offers come.

was wondering how she could be so certain as I assumed stores got random shipments of QBs and couldn't control what exactly they got at any given time
They know what is ordered; and,
they sometimes know what is coming in (before it gets there)
when that’s the case, SM permitting, they can tag it for you
To bring this back to thread topic, they can tag it when they feel
you are eligible (with respect to prespend; spend, love of the brand,
or just because, in other words, if they have persuaded their SM that
its your time

My SA told me it's roughly a 6-month wait between QBs.

I just want to add that I think it's perfectly normal to discuss this "time-lapse". There's no such thing as a "spend threshold for B/K/C" either, yet we are 78 pages deep into discussing it  There are some unwritten rules out there, and where else to go to dissect them but tPF
Thank u for this ! Sometimes I feel kind of shameful for asking such things bc yes, I’ll be the first to admit I’m desperate (prob many of us are!) but always grateful for the guidance and tips from those that have been in the game for longer so I know what to anticipate ;)

I assumed you were considering a second QB because you mentioned that there is a short time before the end of the year. Regardless, I hope you acquire your next desired item soon

Oh, do not feel ashamed for asking a question here. This is the place to ask questions. I can understand wanting to get a bag sooner than later because of the inevitable price hikes. From my experience, the only way to speed up an offer is by being flexible and spendy. The holiday shopping season is coming up and my local store has events on Nov. 26 and Dec. 3. Those invited may be in luck for a year end QB. Hope you get an invitation and your QB.

I see. Well I am definitely looking for more QBs in the future, just not sure which specs at the moment. I'm just interested to see what offers I get, if any, by the end of the year. I'm always interested in learning how things work haha.

$100k per year or over your lifetime as a customer? If it’s the latter, I’d imagine many of us would qualify

My SA also made a comment about $100k spend, but it was to be nominated for a SO.

100k for one SO slot!! Shock!

Years ago 100k might've been the unspoken threshold for SOs, but these days the focus has shifted to new promising clients, so I wouldn't be surprised if SOs are offered at much lower spend levels.

Correct, the 100k a year was the unspoken threshold for SOs years ago. It seems in past 3-5 years, Hermes is more readily to offer SO's to new clients with much lower spend levels.
I am not sure how many of them become a $100k+ client on an annual basis, but I know of many cases who maintain a spend level of < 100k annually.

Oh wow, $100k in a year for special order. Im gonna be the devil’s advocate here. If the typical prespend is 1:1, then 10:1 for a special order does not sound completely ridiculous.

Of course, i am nowhere near that, but hopefully, i can get a SO in my life time. I am content with one quota bag
a year lol, if that. Any more, i would feel so guilty.

I feel like $100k in a single year for a SO sounds...like a way to keep SO numbers very small. Which makes sense, actually. That said, I imagine that, as with all other thresholds, it's not a hard and fast rule.

Yes same from my personal experience in Germany. I was offered my SO under a 6 figure spend.
My SA debunked his own $100k myth, as I just received a SO offer :biggrin:

congratulations !!!
just to be sure - if you get an SO offer, can you still get QB while waiting for your bag to be made? ive heard that the spend "resets" upon receiving the bag?
Thank you! This is my first SO, so I won't pretend to know the process  There's a SO thread with a lot of information and that question was answered here:
Is my SO a quota bag?
SO bags are generally counted toward a client’s two-bags-per-year limit at the time that the bag is received and paid for. If a client has already maxed out their quota bag allocation for the year, some stores will allow an exception to purchase your SO as a third bag for the year while other stores will require the customer to wait until a new calendar year before receiving the bag. These policies are subject to be changed per store at their convenience so it is always wise to check with your specific SA.
