Hello! Thank you for sharing your experience. I am somewhat in the same boat. My pre-spend is about 2:1 (online and instore purchases) but I have only been with my SA since late February. Recently we bonded when discussing our family with one another and immediately she offered me a mini roulis in croc and a mini roulis wallet in cassis. Doubt that would have happened if we didnt "connect". Looking fwd to seeing your 2nd QB.
Hello,
Congrats! Those are beautiful offers for sure. It’s great that you connect with your SA.
Goodluck and I would suggest to discuss your wishlist when time is right if you are after a quota too  Will keep you posted here :)

Indeed, there’s too much talk in prespending that might not be reflective of the real situation.

At the end of the day, maintain a good and sustainable relationship with your SA. I’m sure he or she will look after you. Manage the expectation. The quota bag won’t appear instantaneously. Try not to be influenced by the offers and stories circulating on social media. Comparison really makes it worse. It might even cause a downward spiral for your relationship with the SA.

Enjoy the H journey!
i needed to read this today. i left the boutique so broken hearted. i never ask for anything but it’s “known” that i’d like a large collection of handbags. all of the styles not just the highly coveted. maybe i haven’t been specific enough to my sa? idk. we’ve built a strong relationship and i shop several times a month. large shop. idk what more i can possibly do? maybe you can advise, i’m certainly not pushy but at the same time, it would have been nice to get “something”….even a charm.

If it makes u feel better, my SA had to “beg” her manager to release a bearn wallet to sell to me. Leather goods are highly controlled products.

thank you. i was in chanel and my sa was literally showing me every bag for mother’s day. so sweet and just wanted to make me happy. i didn’t buy anything bc i thought “maybe” today would be the day. even a lindy would have made me feel more appreciated. i left spending another exorbitant amount, don’t get me wrong everything i purchase is lovely, but none is necessary. and i’m still bagless. i’m glad i found this forum. i keep telling myself be patient…it’s coming….

U really need to get down to specifics with the SA eg “ I would like to get a birkin 25/30 in xx colour but open to xx and xx. I know it is a high demand bag and takes time. Meanwhile, if you have a lindy 26/30 available in xx or xx, please let me know.”

To tell u the truth, lindy is a very popular bag and it is not all the time readily available.

You said you never ask for anything. Does your SA know specifically what you want for a bag?

A shopping experience should never leave you broken hearted. It is imperative if you want to continue shopping with this brand to be clear and up front with your sa about what’s on your list. It’s also very important to temper expectations and not to let whatever happens define you. The H shopping experience is really like no other. A lot of people go into expecting something different and thinking they can play the “game” and “score” a bag. It’s not that simple. If you have any insecurities it can become a very unhealthy addictive shopping experience. If you feel your emotions getting the better part of you may want to take a break.

it’s interesting. she really never asked for any specifics. just told me “you’ll get everything you want”…in time which was exactly what i expected as a newer client to the brand. i knew starting my experience it would take time…i guess i just never realized it would take this long. comparison is the thief of joy, so i will not go there. i’m just not a youngling like others. and i’d like to enjoy some of the leather goods.

thank you for your kind words. i will have to be a little more assertive when it comes to handbags. the discussion just doesn’t come up much when we are together bc we shop away. the experience is out of this world stellar…i clearly need to manage my expectations.

agree! it’s time now to get down to business. i was looking for guidance on color and hardware selection. i guess i need to make a selection and be flexible?

regarding the lindy, i’m well aware that every bag is hard to come by. once again, with my spending history, i thought something would be offered. clearly i’m mistaken.

You need to be very specific with what you want. Other clients will be specific in their requests or have specific tastes your SA know about. Also just spending and spending without being specific is a recipe to spend tons and feel pressured to take an eventual offer you don’t really like.

Articulating you want a large handbag collection with no bags purchased and having no specific requests sets off reseller alarm bells at H. You are far better off to be specific in your requests.

If you want a large handbag collection and are currently at 0, it’s a long road so you need to find a way to shop that’s sustainable for you. There are limits on quota and non quota bags that can be purchased in a year.

How long have you been waiting?

it’s been under a year. a curated collection would include around ten pieces. i’m not even thinking of multiples at this time. two quota bags per year then scatter some other non quota bags in. i think that’s realistic. please correct me if i’m way off.
