This is a very helpful thread!
I just started my Hermes journey, met my SA two weeks ago and has been going to store on weekly basis to get stuffs.
Currently I'm more looking for Mini Evelyne & Mini Roulis is very specific colors, but ultimately I'd like to get B/K/C as well.
Question....when do you guys start discussing B/K/C with your SA? I wanted to bring it up but not sure if I should? Just don't want to sound silly I know obvi getting B/K/C is everyone's goal! Any tips would be really appreciated!

I think I started buying small items like scarf, twillies, bangles etc and at some point she asked about what bag is on my wishlist and she coached me In how to build my profile etc. the conversation came pretty natural for me. I think everyone has a different experience and story to tell so I would love to hear what works best too!

Something that's always worked well for me is just checking in with my SAs in NY and Madrid regularly. My NY SA and I text almost every week or two, and most of the time it's not even Hermes-related. We often exchange Netflix recommendations, pictures of our pets, or just catch up about normal stuff. My SA in Madrid and I check in every few months and just make sure the other is okay given everything going on in our respective countries. I'm sure your SA will appreciate that and also keep you top of mind when new things come in after you remind her of your wish list!

Definitely agree with what everyone else has said! It's different from store to store and really comes down to your relationship with your SA. If she's giving you weird vibes then, that's frustrating... but starting from scratch with a new SA or store is a big commitment.

Ultimately, don't feel pressured by her, just buy what you like, and feel free to nudge her with a gentle reminder of what you are looking for. A non-work-related text here and there goes a long, long way
Thank you so much!

It's great that you have a great rapport with your SA in NYC! Many times, SAs may not want to chat about things outside of business. You are lucky to have a great SA! Of course you being a very nice and charming person (my deduction from your great relationships with your SAs :)) helps!

That's true! I didn't think of that at all. It just so happens that we're similar in age and heritage so all that helps too. Honestly, we were just texting one day and suddenly we were talking about Tiger King and puppies :giggle: before I knew it, she had said "I felt like we've really bonded during quarantine" and not long after I was surprised with a wish list offer, so I definitely got lucky for sure! ;)

I actually brought this up on my own with my European SA the first time we met and she was very polite and honest. On the other hand, my NY SA initiated this conversation on her own and asked me what items were on my wish list while she checked me out at our first time meeting.

SAs understand that most people are after these bags, so honesty never hurts. Just be polite and gauge the vibe :amuse: it can come up pretty naturally!

Yes so thats why I was wondering if Constance is hard to get and need matching spend too like b and k. I think the C is not conditional offer but I guess if I “disappoint” her again with low spending, She may give me mean words again which I want to avoid LOL. Ultimately I would love to get a b25 offer soon.
It is awful to get mean words from anyone, let alone an SA of whom you are her customer. This I don’t know how to respond ... not easy to be on the receiving end of mean comments ... I hope she doesn’t do that again.

Canada seems to be one of the places where bags are harder To come by. Are bags priced similarly to the US?
The prices are reasonably comparable but the spend is higher and general availability is less and generally reserved for regular clients. The breadth of bag availability and colour is not the same generally. There are items I could get without any wait or need for significant spend from my SA in the US that I could not get in Canada. Most of my purchases are in Canada for context. And since the Canadian/US border is closed and travel to Canada very limited, demand in Canada will go up.

Oddly I was told EVERYTHING counts EXCEPT bags. Is it possible it varies even by the SA?
Are you here in Canada too? I feel like instead of varies by SA, maybe it varies on the store? My store has too many affluent clients to compete with the x numbers of bags that is allocated to the store. they would want us to buy those hard to sale items for the quota bags. I am generally very compliant to what my SA hints me to buy. I draw my line at the furniture. I wont be paying 20k for a lamp.

Yes I am in Canada. Same. I only buy what I actually want. When I talked to my SA this week they told me everything counts except the bags and I was surprised but they'd know better than me.
