i asked my SA the same question when she offered the Picotin 18 So black (all black with Matte hardware) yesterday. And I did take P18 home when she said non QB spending will count towards the QB. My Ratio is 2:1 right now and I feel like shes hinting that I’ll be getting something special soon. Finger crossed!!

Hello lovelies - just curious for crocodile/ alligator B/K/K pochette and mini Kelly: is prespend Aprox the same or is it a 1 to 1 as well? I talked to my local SA and she said the demand for these items escalated during Covid because people aren’t traveling and now have disposable income so even more people want these items.

Highly dependent on your particular store, country, and SA relationship. Mini Kelly in croc is probably the same ratio as regular leather mini Kelly (ie typically minimum 3:1 or more and yes this means $$$$$$ since croc is so much more than Epsom). For other birkins and Kellys, my experience is that these bags in exotic leather are easier to get than their normal leather counterparts as the demand is less and the resale profit is much less/more difficult.
Do you think this holds true for lizard bags as well? I would love a lizard kelly, but I’m not getting encouraging vibes from my SA.
I think lizard kellys are still rare enough that the demand far outstrips the supply and they will be difficult to get/require a good relationship with high spend.
I guess that depends where you are. I’m in the US and I know non quota bags count towards your spend for your next quota bag.
Anyone’s gotten b25/k25 neutral colors at a not so competitive US city recently? Just curious of what your spent threshold was and is it really 1:2+ now. Thank you!
It's fairly competitive for b25 in most boutiques as the mini trend is still going strong. It isn't unusual to spend more than double before getting an offer for such a popular size. I recommend not worrying too much about prespend and just buy what you love over time.This focus on strategizing to get a bag implies there is some magic formula, which there isn't... every customer/SA relationship is different. Just enjoy yourself, be polite and allow things to unfold organically. There is also the reseller route for those that want a particular bag in a guaranteed time frame. Good luck and happy shopping!

It’s what I’ve been doing, but good to confirm. I think I got lucky to have met my SA who’s super fun, and I actually enjoy my shopping experience now. Hopefully bag will come one day as a real surprise.
