@Bag Lusting I just want to say that prespend does not always equate to receiving bag offers. Trust me on that one! Buy only what you love and do not play the game! As I have learned, even a high prespend does not guarantee bag offers regardless of what anyone tells you!
Not in the Southern California area per my experience and for at least 3 other people I know well. It was 2.5 to 3 for a B25/K25. At least 4-5 for a mini Kelly. And, these people are nice and have a friendly decent relationship with their SAs.
Yes at Ala Moana. I was looking at a kelly bracelet with diamonds on the clasp and asked if they had any B or K. She said "if one comes in this week you understand that you will buy the bracelet for the bag."
I totally agree with @jag. I am sorry if my post sounded as if the pre-spend equates to bag offers. A strong SA relationship and other factors (e.g., timing) also matter. I heard of someone getting a MK from Madison Maison with a total pre-spend amount of less than $5,000. So, it is not simply about pre-spends. Again, YMMV; this is my opinion. Hope this helps!
I really only just want a mini lindy and mini Constance. I was really hoping to get both under the same prespend as I thought mini lindy wouldn’t entirely deduct the prespend. I’m already running out ideas on things to buy too.

The mini lindy and the mini constance are the two most coveted non-quota bags (I guess excluding the KP). A 15-20k non leather prespend between the two of them isn't very surprising. Unless someone is a big spender, it would be kind of rare to get these two bags back to back, especially with less than 15k non-leather spend. Typically it would go: one of these, a quota bag, the other non qb, another quota bag over the course of 1.5-2 years. In your shoes, I would decide which bag you want first/most and spend/ask for that one. Then I would slow my shopping until things I want naturally appear. As long as you don't leave the brand completely, little purchases over time will add up to enough for the other one. (Also, given her numbers, sounds like 20k wouldn't even qualify you for that B/K anyway.)
Oh I see. I was just confused as sometimes I see people say like while waiting/prespending for a QB, they get offered these non-QBs. In these scenarios, do the prespend not get reset for those then? For example, if someone spent $25k for a B, but also got a ML in the interim.

In my experience, a new client getting is unlikely to get two highly sought after bags in a row. Your SA Has lots of clients who want bags, and the SM has to allocate them fairly
If this is the case, I suggest you go reseller.
As per @acrowcounted and others, I don’t think there is a shortcut to these bags. Is there a hard and fast reset? As far as I know, there is no official prespend or reset, but is probably dependent on a strong SA relationship (that includes steady, ongoing spend outside of leather. It’s also dependent on the strength of other client profiles.
No matter what anyone says on this thread (including me lol) I always advise listening to your SA first. I don’t think anyone here suggested that a 20K prespend could get you both. I also think a coveted size BK would be more 3X-5X, but JMO.
ETA: as far as I know, an SA cannot offer a bag that is not allocated to her; and the SM is in charge of deciding who gets what. So, it’s not entirely up to the SA

I personally don't love how she changed her tone on the bags re no stock to explicit pre-spend criteria not met but you would know best how she communicated it and if it were done in a more friendly way to help you get the bags you want by being clearer around pre-spend vs. letting you play the guessing game or it felt like she's trying to milk more out of you. Regardless of whether or not you want to continue with her longer-term I think for now the best course of action would be either spend a bit more to reach a Mini C and then re-evaluate your spend/relationship with her or you just ask for a mini L based on your current pre-spend (especially if you are already out of ideas to buy things) and see if she delivers on her words and how you feel post that. People do get offered non-QBs while waiting for QB but there's an implicit understanding that it will likely eat up some of your pre-spend/delay the timing of a QB especially if it's a coveted one (Mini C/Mini L are pretty high up there).

My SA said 8k for ML and 12k MC, so the total for both prespend would be $20k. She didn’t suggest that to get both, but said I could only pick either of the two for the year.
I have been spending regularly, 1-2 visits per month, and mostly in jewellery actually. Only one bag charm that is leather that she said it doesn’t count towards prespend.
Thanks for the explanation. I am not really waiting for a QB (K/B) though, as I’m more interested in MC and ML only. Do you know how that pre-spend/delay works if only non-QBs?
I guess you have to ask yourself: which bag do you want most, the Lindy or the Constance?
Since you seem to want both bags, and per the above she has told you that you're already at pre-spend for the Lindy...then I would just go for the low hanging fruit. Since you seem to have some doubt about her motives & don't know if she's stringing you along, just see if she delivers on her word.
Then at that time, depending on how long it takes to get you that Lindy & the vibe you get when/if it finally does show up, you can evaluate how you feel about the relationship. You can either decide to stay with her, or switch to another SA, since your spend will have to reset for the Mini Constance anyway.

I think more and more we will see or hear of SAs being upfront with clients on prespend.
If I were you I would sign up for one of those online services that provide notifications when bags drop and get a mini Lindy online on H Canada. It will take a while because they don’t appear as often, but at least it won’t use any of your prespend. Check with your friends that shop at H there if they know. In Europe they don’t care, but apparently in the U.S. some managers check the bags you’ve been buying online.
As for the Constance, I don’t know how is resale in Canada, but in the U.S. I only buy bags that are not B or K on resale, H online or H abroad. Resellers in the U.S. are selling new Constance these days close to retail. If you are close to the border, you can always go to a hotel and have a U.S. reputable reseller ship it to a U.S. address there. I heard at CDG in Paris that the prespend in the store was 6.000 euros.
You might want to only buy in the boutique, so I would try to do combination of boutique for Constance and online for ML. If you do that, I think it would be best to get whatever quota you aim for for B or K (1 or 2), and then ask for the other bags towards the end of the year and try to get one or both before the year is over.
