At this time, getting lots of non QBs will slow you down in getting a QB. Lots of people are waiting for a bag so if you got some bags, it can delay the QB.

I don’t know what kind of shopper you are but for me, at a certain point I had enough variety that my bag wants are very few. At one point I got the max quantity for QB and non QB every year but eventually the novelty wore off and I had more than enough. I don’t want any non QBs at this time and my QB wants are limited. I have turned down offers but I have also waited a really long time for a bag I really want but it’s a thrill to get the perfect item after waiting a very long time. If what you really want is a QB then consider holding off on more non QBs unless you really want it and focus on getting what you really want.
Thank you, this is such a helpful perspective. Curious what the max quantity for non-QB was for your store as I don't think I have seen non-QB limits being mentioned. I do feel like I am hitting a point where I have more than enough variety in my non-QB styles, so I will be patient moving forward and hold out for my QB 😊

I have a dumb question… it sounds like when most people say 1:x here they mean 1=10k vs the 1x the price of the bag, is that right?

If so, is the 10k pretax spend or total spend (I.e. including tax)?

Also hoping of the seasoned experts like @acrowcounted wouldn’t mind confirming - SLGs like snap wallet or calvi card holders etc do not count towards prespend? Or is it just certain slgs?

(Sorry I am not tech savvy/good at navigating the threads so please feel free to move or delete if this is OT!)
I believe @acrowcounted has said in the past that SLG do count as pre spend.

(I’ll try to go back and check)

I think it depends on country and store. In most European countries you will not be able to buy multiple NQBs a year, and you can get up to two QBs. It seems they do not care much if you buy X bags online, while some stores in the U.S. seem to care. Lately I think you can only get one bag online in the U.S. every semester per address. Last year it seems they lifted the restriction during the holidays, but apparently this year it seems they won’t.

I’ve heard of people in the U.S. buying multiple NQBs and still getting two QBs, and also heard of people having QBs bags delayed because they bought too many NQBs, or got KP and/or Constance. My advice would be to focus on getting your two QBs for the year, and then buy as many NQBs you can/want after that.

I buy bags I can find online in Europe, and only get B/K/C bags in store. I just bought one bag online in the U.S., it is much harder to find them here.

Was always confused about prespend.. Does prespend resets after every QB? In my country Constance does not count as QB so if I purchased Constance my prespend does not reset?
I'm hearing different things from different people so I'm so confused.

There are no real rules so you will get different answers from different people based on their different experiences. Prespend is a per quota-bag measurement used among clients as a means to compare competition of the market for bag offers. It is not a rule nor a triggering event (except maybe in Asia). It is not a thing where "I just spent X so now I am guaranteed a Y". In general, prespend resets after a quota bag purchase and can be considered lowered when a client buys a non-quota bag, especially coveted non-quota-bags like Constances, Kelly family bags, mini Lindys, etc because the SA/stores view that client as having been temporarily satisfied on a bag requests such that other clients can now be served.

One thing I’ve observed most recently due to this being pointed out to me by another tpfr - if you ingratiate yourself to the brand and super brown nose with posting multiple reviews gushing over your SA and boutique and go into details about all your amazing quota bag offers with multiple photographs of yourself with your offers and of you beaming with joy on YELP, you may be more likely to get an offer. It seems to work even if you just post a five star review on Google and gush over your sa and boutique.

Edit: Of course you need to spend and these clients seem to hit the Rtw and jewelry categories with at least 2:1 for coveted offers but that brown nosing seems to get you extra brownie points.

Interesting. I have a stupid question: how does Hermes follow this? Do you let your SA know you've posted a review?

Yes, but someone actually cross-checks with the customer database and puts a check mark next to your customer profile?
I think you should just go take a look at some boutiques and see what I’m talking about. The ones who do it post multiple photos and multiple reviews. How can you miss them. They also post on YouTube and fb and ig. When boutiques have multiple bad reviews I’m sure those five star ones gushing over their Sas and boutique really help. I’m not saying anyone is cross checking any database. Take what you will from what I said but don’t overthink it.

Ok, now I understand. You mean they're doing the video posts while still at the boutique. That makes sense. It never happens when I'm at my boutique but I know the type of post you are talking about. Everyone is very reserved at my local boutique, it's almost always like a library. For some reason, my mind went to the standard Google or Yelp reviews people leave afterwards
