Thank you! Ever since my alligator/croc B25 request I’ve been offered ostrich C (I generally don’t love the H clasp), croc and alligator SLGs unprompted hence my question

I showed my SA a pic of myself trying on a croc B30 from a reseller and said I’m surprised that size works. My SA acknowledged the size preference but didn’t say anything about timing. But I’m <6 months out from my first QB of 2024 and indicated no rush

Your SA is probably offering you the exotic SLGs and Constance since she now knows you are interested in exotic, and doesn’t have a B25 to offer you. I don’t think it’s a “prerequisite” though. There’s still time left in the year yet, so hopefully you get one soon!

That’s good to know! I usually come in with some RTW and home pieces in mind, and don’t have the budget for both those and the surprise exotic lol

My husband and I have two accounts with the same SA. We usually shop together, but sometimes we put things on my account and sometimes on his. The SO was on my account, and the K25 was on his account, so I don't know exactly what the pre-spend is on each account. I would imagine our SA cares more about the joint relationship, but surely the store manager evaluates each individual account?

Also, how do I count pre-spend for the SO? Was it when I made the SO? Was it when I received the SO? I did get another QB in between as well.

I'm starting to see why people say they don't count pre-spend. The offers are so intertwined that it's hard to count even if you want to. :sweatdrop:


Not yet! It was on my wishlist (along with a Box K25 and a B30 in any dark neutral color), so I was surprised that the seemingly "harder" request (the Box K25) showed up first.

Edit to add that I don't know if a Box K25 is a "hard" request. It is a lot more expensive than an Epsom K25, so I'd imagine that there's less competition for it. I just meant "harder" as in it's the most specific request on my list.

I think box is easier than epsom. I recently requested a black bag and I was told epsom in any size would very hard but there was a black box mini Kelly I could take immediately. I initially said no but my SA unwrapped it and I couldn’t say no after I saw it. Lol.

Most of the time I am offered a bag at the same time as a shopping appt so I would be prepared! It’s very rare for me to get a text/phone call specifically for a bag offer, although I know that’s how it works for many clients.

I’m at 25k since March waiting on a second QB (wishlist is K/B/MK). Any idea why my SA is only offering me Constances? I’ve specified to them that it wouldn’t be a useful addition to my wardrobe.

Probably because they don’t have anything else to offer you.

Are you in the US? I am in a similar situation. I straight up asked “is it still two QB in the US?” And my SA said “yeeeessss, but…” makes me think that even with a second 3:1 pre spend I am not getting a second QB this year 🤷‍♀️

My SA used to offer me Constance’s in between QBs all the time. It’s the next best thing to an actual QB, so it’s a good way to sort of pacify you, and they also get commission on it. They especially love to offer exotic C’s LOL.

PS I know some stores say a C is a QB but not in my store.

A box MK sounds dreamy :smile: Which color?

My SA said I was the only client who specifically asked for box so I was first in line to receive it … although he said they don’t get box leather as often, so there was a bit of luck involved.

I wonder why they didn’t just offer the bag to someone who asked for a neutral bag without specifying a leather type, though.

Maybe the TPFers with more experience can chime in :smile:

Interesting observation. My US store always makes such a big deal out of offering any QB in exotic. It is always such obscure colors with such an additional implied spend and much fanfare. I know one has been sitting in the back for months and no one wants it yet they keep trying to offer it to clients with high spend that are expecting something really nice at this point as if it’s a favor. From that I have always assumed that any exotic QB was to be earned through years of loyal high spending but it doesn’t appear to be the case. It sounds like smaller sizes (25 and 20) as well as special orders are truly “special” though?.
