Orange ostrich should be extremely easy to get, competition wise. The item actually existing is going to be your real source of difficulty here, a difficulty that spending more won’t help you with. Make sure your SA knows you are interested and if an Orange ostrich is available, surely you’ll be offered…but I think you’ll be in for a long wait just waiting for one to come into stock as I haven’t seen any Orange ostrich anything in years. Might even be worth getting this on the secondary market as it’s value could be retail or lower.
Thank you! Are the orange leathers also difficult to get if I went in that direction instead of the ostrich? My size is 30. I’m assuming anything leather has a higher demand than anything ostrich?

Your assumption is correct, however size 30 isn't very in demand and the color orange is very not in demand. Lucky for you, a new seasonal color "Orange Field" is just being released now and is a beautiful orange hue IMO so you could request for one in that color which should be fairly available going into the summer/fall/winter. If you are firm on the classic color "Orange" you may need to wait as I suspect production to be focused on the new seasonal orange instead.

Thank you. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

Hi, I just moved and started shopping with my SA 6 months ago. Spent about 2x, then shared my wishlist and days later got a B25 in pastel (SA knows it’s my second choice color)

How soon is too soon to update my wishlist for a second QB (probs a B30 in neutral) this year?

I would give it a little bit of time and approach the subject with your SA. Mine is always receptive when I say can I please send you an updated wishlist.

I'd wait a few shopping trips before bringing up another bag. There's no point in them knowing your wish until your are much closer to being competitive for an offer so there really is no rush.

Thanks! I just identified some big ticket items I want so anticipate getting there faster than I did my first QB. But I understand time is also a factor - maybe 3 months?

I brought up my next QB as I was buying my last QB. It just depends on how the conversation flows and your vibe with your SA.
I said some thing along the lines of: enough of crazy colors for me (the bag was bright), I want them mousiest gray next time.
We laughed about it and the SA has repeated it since that she remembers my request.
We then proceeded to have a very long conversation about what bags arrive to my home store and how they are allocated. It was the first time my SA was frank about it

Out of curiosity: Nowadays, does pre-spend reset at the home store after a QB at FSH? I've seen contrasting information on different threads...
No. My local SA says what happens in Paris stays in Paris. My take is that if your local wants to offer a bag, they will. If they don’t, they won’t. My FSH SA says no prespend required at all, but lottery appt needed unless you have a regular SA who can offer bags.

I felt it was very store specific so I did not post it right away. Or maybe I wanted to tease ya'll 😜
Small bags are most popular in my store and neutrals are most popular. The store gets very little in color. This is normal for all brands in my geographic area. When I travel, I am shocked at how much brands actually produce in color. I have literally seen only one H bag in the wild in my city in a pop of color in all my life.
If you want a K25, the wait is looong. If you want a neutral, everyone else does to. If you want a color, very few arrive. Very few customers want blue box offers but the store also gets very few. I might be the only customer my SA has that wants unique bags so it is just a matter of time before they get one I would like. Much less prespend is needed for lets say a cargo or a rock birkin than a pink K25
