Hi, I wish I could. The Nantucket strap is a little narrower than the Cape Cod strap. It may not be as noticeable in the photo. Sorry if I sound like in my original post that it could be shared but no unfortunately not. Thanks for asking!

I didn't have a need to purchase alligator straps this time but I should have shared that alligator straps were $500 plus the buckle cost. The $500 alligator strap was the same whether for Cape Cod or Nantucket. :flowers: These prices are a few days old so not sure if there were any price changes since.
Oh wow! $500 + buckle. That's a bit pricey! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your new strap!

I received my newest Cape Cod strap. It's pictured (on left with pink alligator strap that I selected when ordered my SO) with another new strap for my Nantucket. I'm posting to show how easy and self interchangeable the straps are. They are great ! I switch my bands out to go with one of h handbags. These black bands are for my black k25 with ghw and black b25 togo palladium hw. The leather straps are IMHO reasonably priced. Palladium buckle $100 with barenia strap $300. The epsom is $300 plus rose gold hw $875 (yes pricey to me but worth it).

Do you have to purchase the buckle when you purchase the extra strap?
Thanks.

I don't know if it's absolutely required, I've never asked. But I always purchased with a buckle. I'm not able to use the strap otherwise. Are you asking because you need to replace a current strap but the buckle is still good? Not sure, but if that's the situation, I'd ask my sa if buckle can be used to go on a new strap especially if it's one of my rose gold buckles. Worth asking if they can send in the buckle to attach to a new strap. They are pricey in my opinion. Hope I answered your question. Otherwise, let me know!

I do not believe so. When I picked my watch, she gave me a number of optional straps (none of them had a buckle). She said if I wanted one of the other straps, she’d ”do surgery” and attach the buckle....

Agree with above. You can definitely buy a strap without the buckle and straps are easy to change anytime at home, but my SA said you need to go to the boutique to put a buckle on. Silver buckles cost way less (the same cost of some taxi rides for me to get to H and back a few times) so when buying a 2nd strap, I just got the buckle too.

Thanks for getting back to me.

The reason I asked was bc I am interested in one of the watches and wanted to couple straps as well. It will save me save some money if I don’t need to buy extra buckles.

I have a VCA watch and am able to change the buckle myself when I change my strap (you need special tools through and it’s not hard). I have to admit it is annoying sometimes if I’m in a hurry to go out and want to wear a different color the straps. But I don’t know if VCA allows purchase of the extra buckle though.

Hi ! Understand. I suggest asking your H sa if you can order the extra straps without the buckles to be certain. Pre-covid when I was able to go to the store, I have seen my extra straps unboxed with the buckles already on them. I've never heard my sa say they put the buckles on but that may mean she or the store doesn't have a h specialist on site or I'm not aware. My boutique is smaller than some of the others.

True, I can imagine it takes time to put the buckle on yourself. Here's photos of the backside. I included both the Cape Cod and Nantucket straps (since that's what I did in my prior post) even though this thread is about Cape Cod. They are very similar just slight strap width and buckle size difference. Hope this helps. Love to see a post if you were able to order without the buckle and how it works out for you. I think, I and others would learn from that. Happy Sunday to you! :flowers:

Regarding the buckle discussion. When I bought my Heure watch, I asked for an extra strap in alligator. I did not check the extra strap in store and when I came home I saw that there was no buckle. I wrote to my store and asked them and they told me they came without the buckle (this was in december 2017) and were going to order a buckle to me. 6 months passed and I went to London. I still had not recieved the buckle so I took the opportunity and asked at H Harrods for a buckle. I am not sure if they normally just sold just buckles (an impression I got from the conversation) but he was kind to help me anyway. A few months later I recieved the buckle from my old store. It reminds me that I now have a spare buckle, maybe time to get another strap . My store was a franchise and quite small but I think they had the tools to put the buckles on.

Wow, very interesting. I'm not familiar with a franchise store but maybe it doesn't matter and my store would do the same. My sa always provided what leather/skins, colors that were available at the time and confirms that I want it for my cape cod silver buckle and/or nantucket which needs a rose gold buckle. Sound like if they don't ask and you don't mention the buckle you get just the strap. Good to know! The order is itemized and priced separately. Although I should check my payment invoice when I receive it to see if it's itemized as such also. Thanks for sharing that information!!

OOOH AND you should get that extra strap! Love that I can switch it out to go with another bag or outfit. ENJOY!!

Yes, I think it is best to check when ordering an extra strap. I ended up having to wait a long time for the buckle. I bought a strap in regular leather in Rome, and it came with buckle (or it might have been that I said I needed the buckle). I can’t remember.

Our franchise closed a 1,5 year ago and H opened a new store last autumn. I have not asked there if the straps come with buckle. When I decide on getting another one I will ask to make sure. I need to decide what colour I want. I think I will go with alligator, it is so elegant.

You can definitely buy without the buckle (and the buckle without the strap too for that matter) but for convenience's sake, I got a buckle so I could have a double and a single tour strap ready to go at any time.

The watch customization is back as an FYI and there are options for the larger faced cape cod and the Heure 21 for the ladies. I played around with the configurator for just a couple of moments but my mind has still not stopped thinking about that you could do a black box or ebene barenia strap. Aaaaaagh!!!!

There are men's options too, the larger cape cod and then there was slim d'hermes I think.

There was also a special box that the watches would come in if you ordered his/hers. It seems the intent with this watch event is they want to encourage couples to order as a holiday gift to each other.
