Special Order Watches

Walked in today and didn’t know about this.

Ordered a Cape Cod 29 watch - I like how dainty it looks, silver with gris perle croc strap. It will be the ‘cool‘ sister to my Cartier Tank which is gold and has a burgundy croc strap.

Can‘t wait for November!

I wonder why the leather special order is not run over the iPad! It’s easy to visualise and decide when you can see.

I am still hoping my store will do such an event. It would be nice to be able to custom make a watch. Did you see if there were any option with pink saphires?
I also noted on the online shop that the watch sizing has changed. I don`t think the actual size has changed but how they referr to them name wise.

I paid 3000usd deposit on a 5,500usd watch that arrived 4 mos later.

I paid 50% of cost of the watch before taxes when I placed the order.

I paid about 50% but rounded up to the nearest thousand Hong Kong dollars.

Just got my watch, took 2 1/2 months. When I placed my order, had zero knowledge about SO watches. I don’t know and still don’t know if there are specific options only available through SO. Wanted something that was very simple, so simple that I think you can purchase my custom choices directly on the website. Lol ….. at least I have special symbol etched on the back.

Anyhoo, very happy how it turned out.

Visited my store today and similar to the last post, I was looking for a simple but very specific model -- Cape Cod small version in gold hardware with box or barenia double tour...they obviously didn't have it and my SA offered to do an SO.
Does anyone know if yellow gold is available? The store only had rose gold for both jewellery and watches. Also online I only see rose gold jewelry.
Is it solid gold or plating? I know some vintage yellow gold Hermes watches are gold plating only.

I totally forgot to ask my SA and would like to brainstorm my options before the appointment

My special order watches arrived. The two watch purchase came with the complimentary wood box. Box also came with a customizable engraving plate that I haven’t placed yet. Both watches were engraved. Had also ordered additional interchangeable straps for these watches. Christmas present for my DH and to myself.

If I recall correctly, I placed my order in June and was told delivery in October which it did. I just didn’t get to the store until now.
