Hi again, keen to get some of your opinions on the ultrapla belt bag (good and bad). I can’t stop thinking about it even though it is probably super impractical being so slim. I love the strap and buckle of the belt bag style so I’m not that interested in the messenger/bandouliere versions.

Hey there, I don't know if anyone responded to this post. I know it's an older post, but I own this bag in this exact color (ever color gold) and I love it!. It fits my car key, my big iPhone, calve wallet, and a slim hand sanitizer. This thing packs a punch without the added bulk. Hope that helps.

Offered a Kelly 32 in Caban color recently but rejected it.

It's nice bag, and I was very tempted to accept it.
It's look good sitting itself but I would say it does not match my lifestyle
(1) it cannot carry "many" things - I would like to have a bag that can be used for both work (32 is too small) and leisure.
(2) it looks a bit small to me as I am not thin - the portion is not quite right
(3) not a fan of thin leather strap although it can be replaced

My dream bag is a kelly 35 gold color but SA told me seems there is no shipment to my place recently. I was also offered Kelly 40 quite some time ago but rejected but it's too large on the other hand.

This is insightful. So the Kelly 32 is no longer in production, right?

And now the only ones in production are the 28, 35 and 40?
Do your gents think the upcoming released Kelly Messenger would fit your needs?

Unfortunately everything Kelly is just not my taste  Other then that, I need a laptop. Als long as this fits, all is good
Hermès doesn't really make bags that are specifically for laptops, except for the Plume 12H that came out some years ago that has a literal laptop compartment and sleeve

Of course in theory you can just use any H bag large enough to fit a laptop but I really don't recommend especially if it's a Birkin or Kelly because 1) it's going to be too heavy for everyday use, and 2) the handles are going to be deformed in the long run.

This is nice, thanks for the suggestion. My "problem/dilemma" has always been that my MacBook Pros are 15in and 16in...and most bags only fit 13in laptops. Do you know the measurements of this bag, or if it will fit a MBP 15/16?

I don't know the exact measurements. It came out in 2016 or 2017, so even if it fits your MacBook I'm not sure you will find this in stores. It's also quite difficult to find preloved.

indeed, when discussing with my SA she also shared the same view. In particular Kelly's handle is not that strong for heavy gear.

I think you need to be careful with the measurements. I have an HP notebook slightly larger then a MBP 13 (I know… ) that should fit easy into my Herbag a dos. In reality it fits super tight under the closing mechanism. So I’d say, always go and try…

IMO the best bags that fit mbp 15/16 I use are sac a depeches 41 and b40. Plume 45 is a bit big for everyday but gorgeous bag. My vote is sac a depeches 41 in box. that is the bag that really helped me understand and fall in love with Hermes. Beyond elegant and I get loads of compliments every time I pull it out.
