I was wearing my K with an evelyne strap in a diff color (so clearly could tell it's two bags), an H scarf, and a clic H with a cartier love with diamonds... AND I had a tiffany paper bag hanging on the stroller, definitely didn't look off but they were still RUDE!! :(

I am never going back

Yup. They can be like that. There's a few SA who should've helped you, as you were like the customers they fawn over. But most of the time, unless you're a regular of theirs, you don't get help unless you ask.

I just figured SAs are indifferent because I'm "not a local". Didn't take it personally but definitely not pleasant.

Oh well, their loss!!! :D

Seeing that this thread hasn't been updated and a majority of opinions are negative, any updates for the SCP store? It's my local store and I would like to start my Hermes courtship. Has customer service improved or should I go elsewhere?
I think that the customer service has improved from the time this thread was started. I started going to SCP about that time and never found anyone that was the least bit interested in helping me. So I didn't go often and purchased mainly online. Then while in LV I met an SA that was going to be transferring to the SCP store. We really hit it off and once he started there I have gone much more regularly. Still not as often as a lot of people but enough that I have purchased a B 30 and done 2 SO's in the last 1.5 years. I think like others have said that once they start seeing you more often you do get better service. I also have spent a lot of money there. I have purchased from various categories, though I have never purchased anything that I didn't want just to get a bag. I have only been to the BH's store once. I had great service from a wonderful SA but the drive just isn't doable for me even though the store is just about 10 miles farther it takes me 2 hours to get there vs 1 hour to SCP with traffic. Plus I prefer to work with one SA that I really like and who goes out of his way for me.
You have to be there often and spend for them to remember you. I feel there's more SAs who are approachable, but of course there's still quite a few snobby ones who will ignore you unless you look "right"(aka, dripping in H already).

As a new buyer into H, this is frustrating as yes, I'd like to buy things to build my relationship with them, but at the same time, how can I if no one helps or offers to find the item I'm looking for.

There's still definite improvement to be made, but unfortunately, this is my home boutique. I can't drive all the way to BH every time I want something. :(
Mine too :D

I hate hearing that.

Thanks to everyone who updated! Guess I just have to take my chances and hope for the best. I was thinking of starting in Las Vegas but SCP is just more convenient. There are only a few things I truly want to buy and I have no intention of buying just to get a bag, so if I don't meet their purchase expectations, then I guess it's just not meant to be.

I know!!! But I feel it was because they KNEW I didn't get the K there so they probably knew I wasn't going to make a big purchase. Still, being an H lover, would have been nice to make my tourist-y visit a bit nicer! :)

oh well.

Honestly service as BH wasn't that great either. But luckily I've had great service in other countries :p

I have walked into that store five or six times in the last few months and I have to say not once did anyone even bother to greet me. Not even a hi. Most of the time I have a Birkin with me and my Hermes watch. It's pretty incredible. I have never seen anything like this in any retail store of any caliper.

Sorry to hear about other people's bad experiences with SCP. I love going in there. It's my local store. I just popped in today after receiving a phone call and a few email exchanges welcoming me back from my vacation. I have yet to been offer a B or K. I still consider myself relatively new again with them. I did pick up something inexpensive on whim, but it was something I was planning to add onto my collection anyways. I don't consider myself a heavy spender unlike some of their other clientele that I'm sure they receive. But I feel like I'm on a very friendly bases with my local store. I know most of the SAs and security staff by name. I usually interact with one or two other SAs besides my own SA. I would love to buy from the other two SAs since they are very sweet and helpful (both great looking eye candy too is a bonus ;) ), but I'm sticking to my SA because I started with her and she keeps an open communication with me. I adore her. Sometimes it is hard to get their attention if they're busy, but truly my friends were amazing how nice the H SAs at SCP were. They also had an impression that they would be snooty and rude, but not at all. One of the sweet SAs, that I mentioned above, took some time to catch up with us after he helped his client and since my SA was helping another client. Eh maybe one day I will be offered a K or B or C but until then I'm not really pestering them for it and I'm enjoying all the purchases I make there. Don't be intimidated or miffed if nobody clicks the first time. I went a few times. as mentioned in some other threads that with a big smile and friendliness, it can go a long way. By the way I don't dress up when I go in. I came in with my friends straight from a hike so we were all in workout gear. I think so far I only dressed up nice (in a dress) two times that I can think of. Definitely not my best dressed, since I had an appointment with my SA and on a time crunch to squeeze a little H before my meeting, I jumped on the chance to go in. Gah my post is all over the place. Sorry if it's hard to keep up with my scattered train of thoughts.

Summary: no B or K yet. But the SAs are lovely people to talk to!

Hi all. I've been in the SCP store 2-3 times and had the same kind of experience as several of you- no contact, no hello's, nothing. I will say that the times I've been in there the store was absolutely packed.

This may be just my own experience, but I have found service at H locations that are internally located within shopping mall environments (SCP/LV) to be different than H stores that are freestanding buildings/separate boutiques.

I don't buy a lot from this store but I do know a couple of the SAs who are super lovely people. Like all stores, it really depends who is available to help. In my first couple of trips into the store, I used to feel that this was a cold, unfriendly store.

But after getting to know a couple of the SAs, it's got a very different vibe for me. The service no longer feels cold or indifferent - it is just busy.

I don't know how to advise the tourists who come in once in a blue moon but for those who live in the general vicinity, just get to know one or two of the SAs. If you don't buy a lot like me, it's always fun to pop in and chat about our favorite topic...H!

^good advice.

I also was told by one of the nice SAs to not come in when it's busy and wait till its emptied out. When I want something that's what I usually have to do otherwise I'll not get any service for a long while. Lol.

I feel a little more encouraged to go to the boutique after reading your post [emoji2]. Do you recommend any particular SA?

Good to know! So it seems a good time to go would be on a weekday and early in the day.

It's awful to hear some of the experiences tpfers have had at the SCP store. This is my home store now, my husbands originally from Hawaii and we're vip customers there. When we moved back to la, the store director also our friend from the Hawaii boutique happened to transfer to the SCP store, so naturally the transition was easy and I was offer b and k many times. The director has since transferred back to Hawaii and a new store manager (lady) has taken over. The sales people seem to be more polite these days. You know what they say, it comes from above. I hate to say this, but we've visited many boutiques knowing who the managers are, and when they act a certain way, it shows how it translates to the employees as well.
If you need recommendation on working with a nice sa, send me private msg.

I feel like I'll never get a B with all these posts haha. I for one will never buy frivolously, so I'll never meet the requirements they have to qualify for one.
I was told by my SA that given the stores location and very wealthy area and clientele it is harder to get a B or a K because so many people want them and are spending a lot of money. He said that it is actually easier in LV where they can offer a B or a K to anyone they feel like it because of the touristy nature of the city.

It's true the H store in malls tend to be busier.

I try to go mid-week when possible first thing in the morning. I also find it best to let my SA know that I am coming ahead of time and to make sure that he is there and doesn't already have someone else coming in at the same time.

I worked with the SM doing my last SO. My SA called out sick that day and I was already at the mall. She couldn't have been nicer. It was my first time meeting her and I was really impressed.
