So yes, I have been offered a few Kellys over the first four years, but for the past two years nothing, because I want a specific color, leather and HW. The main reason is that I don't like the drive and traffic to the BH store, I was trying to avoid the hassle on the road that's all. And what acrowcounted said made me confirm I don't want to lose my original SA.if you want a specific bag, maybe you can ask your SA for a SO?I am a Kelly girl

Oh I totally get that. Convenince definitely plays a huge role in selecting a location. But you’re already a well established client so no need to visit the store as often. I agree that you shouldn’t give up your current SA and have to start new! You never know if you’ll land a good SA or not at the other location.I am a Kelly girl

So, I asked my SA about special order, and he said it has to be offered by your SA. Also, he mentioned that special orders are very rare, and he is allowed to offer once a year.
I think that it depends upon the boutique. I know that there is only one exotic SO for my boutique per year. I asked my SA if I could make an SO; she asked the SM who ok'd it. My daughter's boutique has zero exotic slots for SO, and also has the same protocol as @Privik 's boutique. But truly, it never hurts to ask ! It's good to find out the answer regardless of whether it is a yes or a no.
Yeah! It's good to find out then wait on it. My boutique is in BH, so I am not on the top of their clients list for sure. I do spend good amount of money there but not hundreds or thousands of dollars, and now I know so I am perfectly fine waiting for my choice of QB
From what I heard, some SA might get allocated more SO slots than the others. It doesn't hurt to ask so your SA knows that you're interested in one.
