Hello, first time posting in this thread.. SCP is my local store and I have shopped here a few times since 2020 (jewelry, non-QB, shoes) but I still do not have a dedicated SA. I messaged the last SA I purchased from (jewelry) to see if I could start (or restart) the relationship to build towards QB but did not receive a response even after waiting for 2 weeks. I believe he's been there quite some time and he had given me his info on my first visit.
I ended up just doing a walk-in one Friday evening when it was not too crowded. The SA that I was paired up with is now the 3rd SA from the same store and I was there only for a few minutes (since it was a quick purchase in and out) so I'm not sure if it makes sense to start sticking with this SA. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If the SA gave you his card I would assume he’s open to you becoming his client. When was the last time you purchased from him though? Maybe his situation changed since then and he is no longer accepting new clients?

He may not be accepting new clients especially now 😔. He gave me his info a little over a year ago and I've purchased couple times from him and texted here and there but haven't had much time to really go to the store.

Do keep the time of year in mind -- most stores across SCP have been significantly more busy in the past month and I'm sure many SAs are taking time off here and there (i.e. the radio silence likely isn't personal nor intentional).

I recommend reaching out again with a clear statement of what you intend to purchase at your next visit, as well as the time and date that you plan to stop by. If they don't pick up your inquiry after a few days, either try again after mid January or consider starting a relationship with a new SA.

Very understandable regarding the time of the year but I do know he definitely has a lot of clients so it's also possible he may not be accepting "new" clients. My last text did state the items that I wanted to purchase (not big ticket items and already purchased now from the walk-in) but I will wait to circle back with him in January for other things. Thank you for your advice!

Stick with whoever returns your text for an appointment. If no one replies, go in and try your luck with a different sa

I would take a different tack. I don’t think hermes SAs in general have the time or bandwidth to respond to texts from customers that they do not have an established relationship with. H corporate encourages in person shopping and not by text. I certainly wouldn’t ask in a text if I could establish a relationship towards a QB. But, I might ask for a shopping appt In person. Or simply go in person (after the holidays) and see if you like working with that SA or another one. I find that SAs will not respond to a list of items you would like to purchase unless you are 1. Already a regular client with whom charge sends have been established practice, 2. You are there in person and simply confirming what you are looking for via text. This is bc the SA may not be able to hold items for your appt or may not have the time to look bc he is supposed to prioritize in store customers. JMO of course. (My local store is Madison Maison, and it’s possible that H is different in CA, but I tend to doubt it.

Thank you for your advice. I think I was a bit unclear on my statement. I did not text about establishing a relationship to build toward QB specifically. You are right about going to the store to meet the SA, and I texted to see if I could have an appt w the SA to see and purchase the items since I didnt know the SA’s work schedule. I want to be a “regular” but if it’s not meant to be w this SA, then hopefully I meet one soon 😁
Btw, as I was purchasing my items, I asked about mini evelyn, not expecting to be in stock, and the SA who helped me told me he had some in stock, which was very surprising. It does seem they stocked up for the holidays.

My SA only responds to my texts if it’s to make appointments. I’ve come to realize she does not respond when I ask about specific items on my list. I think she values face time much more and is too inundated with texts to bother responding. Our entire text thread is “do u have appnt time on this day around this time?“ ”yes see u then!” Also - my friend has told me sometimes she calls the store itself to put herself on her SAs appointment calender when he doesn’t respond ..

Lol sooo I just found out my SA left last week. I had a feeling because I texted him a few days ago to stop by and my text didn’t go through. He just recently offered me an ostrich Constance which I rejected, I think he must have tried offering me something before he left. He was great and always texted me back and I’ll miss him!

I spoke to one of the store managers (not the sales manager?) and she said she is going to arrange another SA to reach out to me. She did reassure me that my pre spend wouldn’t go to waste even if I’m transferring SAs, so that was nice of her to say.

That's good that your pre spending won't go to waste. I am curious if I change the SA and location my pre spend would go away. My current SA is very kind and I genuinely like him. The BH store is little far for me and there is a new store in Topanga mall that is closer to me. I do go to BH store a few times year and purchase expensive jewelry and other items but if the store was closer, I would go more often (I am not sure that is a good thing for my wallet :giggle:). I wonder if I should start shopping to the store that is closer to my home. My SA will happily swap me to the new SA but, do I really want to change my SA that's what I am not sure about.

If you’ve got a good thing going, no I would not change. You will lose your prespend/profile and be starting over with a new SA who is unknown to you and probably already has favorite clients.

Thank you so much for your response, this confirms what I was thinking. The thing is that I really like him, and I don't want to lose the connection and relationship I built with him for the past six years. I know it will take longer to get what I want at the BH store, and I am fine with that. I appreciate your help in deciding to stay with my original SA.

Happy Holidays!

If you’ve been working with him for 6 years, I assume he’s offered you several QBs in the past? If that is the case then I dont see why there would be a need to change SAs/locations if you have a reliable SA who can get you your desired bags.

Agreed. And if you've been there for six years, there's probably at least some understanding that you can't run in every second to buy things. It's not like you're building a new relationship, which you would be doing if you switched stores.
