Yes exactly TooManyWantMore! And this is very very common with Balenciagas. The city bags have short arm straps and are worn close to the arm pit, and I would get bags that had sweaty gross arm straps that were listed as nwt. :throwup:

But I digress...this is the Coach forum :p

I avoid buying bags right after the holidays or June because I find that many of them were bought for special occasions and parties, proms, vacations, etc and have been used and listed nwt because the tags were saved.

People complain about the markups on the outlet bags sold on ebay, but at least most of those are being listed by professional shoppers who have a business and are just trying to turn a profit. They are not using the bags. I have gotten to the point where I can usually tell if a tag has been reattached to a bag from the photo. It will be in a weird place on the bag, or it will be missing a piece of the tag, etc...

I expect a lot of photos when I buy on ebay, and sometimes, if I think the bag is being listed as nwt and is used, I will ask for more photos.

Ooh gross! I won't even consider buying a bag that has a modeling picture of a bag being held in an armpit, especially when the model is wearing a tank top.

I have bought several bags that have been described as in new condition that were stained and falling apart.

It's the people who buy a bag, use it, and then sell it as nwt or "gently used" that bother me on ebay. I will not buy a used bag on ebay. I have been burned in my balenciaga days and have learned that the term "gently used" is a warning in and of itself :p

It will be great to get a new Kristin! I am super excited.

This really is the heart of the matter, but for some reason people think the reseller shouldn't make anything at all. If I don't like the price that something is going for I move on, there's ALWAYS another.....might take a while but it will turn up.

Love it when they are better than what you expect. The Madison Shoulder Bag I got recently wasn't as I expected. It's pretty stained and needs some touch ups but she will be gorgeous when I get the time to fix her up. Wasn't bad for the price though.

I totally agree tannedsilk that waiting and being patient pays off when it comes to buying nwt coach bags on ebay. :smile1: When the bags are first listed on ebay after the outlet has them, especially if they are hard to find bags, they are usually overpriced. But I have found that in a couple of months the prices come down. This is not true necessarily for bags in larger quantities at the outlets though. Those bags come onto ebay in large quantities and the seller competition keeps the prices down. It is only the hard to find bags, that tend to come down a bit in price after the hype cools down in my experience. Of course, as with anything ymmv.

Once I bought a Sophia at the outlet. About a month later,it was selling on ebay much cheaper than I had paid at the outlet.

After awhile the ebay price goes back up as the quantity available drops. There used to be an ebay seller who sold NWT items that were several years old and she got good prices for them. She must have had a collection she had held onto.

This is my most recent score on ebay as well, except I got the green :smile1: She hasn't arrived yet, but I am super excited to get her. The listing title was "Coach archive limited edition bag", no mention of Bleecker or Haversack. There was extensive pics and she looks flawless, and only $90! I sent the seller an email asking for careful packaging and shipping so she won't get damaged.

Yes, I see that on ebay often. Sellers who are selling old nwt items from past seasons. I think some of that is people finally clearing out unused bags from their collections.

The bag I just bought, the pinnacle woven kristin in slate, has actually come down in price in the last couple of months on ebay. At first there was a feeding frenzy when they cancelled the kristin line, but its now a couple of months later, and I was able to get the bag for quite a bit less than it was going for when I first started looking for it on ebay :cool: I almost bought this bag with a pce back when it was still available from coach, so I am super thrilled to get it now for considerably less than what I would have paid with pce. :cool:
