i hear ya. i initially wanted a solitaire w/ a 2mm? band and my wedding band will be an eternity. but the thin band is too "dainty" for my hands. so we opted for a slightly thicker band with side stones...

let me know what your DF says...

maybe im lost.. i just got off a like 11 hour shift.. what should i ask DF??

Everyone has amazing rings on here they're like celebrity e-rings to me! lol
It's funny how 1ct is classed as small, most of my friends have 0.50ct & under (i'm the exception bcos i'm jewellery mad!)
This is my e-ring.

I've been following this thread just about every day! The bf and I started looking at rings around .5c, then .7, .8, and now a 1. This thread is really reassuring because the rings are all gorgeous. The one that stood out the most is Kathyinjapan's . . . no way I would have guessed that was a .35 carat. Taralindsey- I love your set, too- I keep going back and looking at that one.

Would people mind posting their ring size with the specs so we have a better gauge? Thank you all!

Me too! Most of the people I know have rings that would be considered microscopic by many of the folks here. Two of them will end up being multimillionaires and one has a .5ct e-ring and the other doesn't even have a diamond! Funny how we get caught up in the size issue--I know I have :shame:

I think 1ct can look huge depending on your ring size. 1ct on me looks big in my eyes and i wear a 5.5 and if i put it on my pinky just WOW! *smiles*

Also when i went into the jewelry stores the price difference from a .90 VS a 1.0 was almost 800-1000!!! she told me everyone wants 1.0 and up so the demand for the .90/.95 is lower thus cheaper!

Y'all have some beautiful rings!
I got married in May and I chose a platnium 4-prong setting with a plain platnium comfort fit band. My stone is 70 points. I got quality over quantity.
I would like two Tiffany eternity bands to go on either side of my rings though at some point.

My ring and the band together are 1.50ct... but the center stone is just a mere .50 but beautiful.. it looks more like a 1ct. and it is in platinium (sp?) that stuff is high price! 2 grand an ounce and gold has went up to 800 an ounce i think as well.. so i am glad i got mine when i did.. center stone is exactly .50 and side stones are .50 together and then the band is .50:) Sorry the pics are so blurry!

All these rings are so delish! I love looking at all the pics! Can't get enough of 'em!

I hate taking my rings off but, I don't sleep with them anymore--my fingers always felt puffy in the morning! I take them off to shower and clean too! Other than that, I try to wear 'em every day! I feel naked if I leave the house w/o the rings! More pics! It's better than candy to come and ogle!

Here's mine (I need to take it in for cleaning, now that I'm looking at the pics!)

Tiffany's .79 G VS1. Band is half channel G VS1 as well.

Here's my newly set upgraded diamond.
Its .50 D SI2 in a Gelin Abaci Tension setting TR-004 special order because I had the bars made in white gold instead of all solid yellow gold.
