LOVE that story. So meaningful!

Ah, thank you. He is a sweetie.

We are also coming up to our 15th anniversary in March. He has offered me a full eternity ring, which I have always wanted. However, now that my engagement ring is a three stone I am not sure it will look right. I wear my half eternity on my right hand..... I'm not sure if I should get something else instead? xx

Ha, I'm guessing that isn't an insult ;)

And I have to say I spent a few years hating my diamond, not because of the size because it was a diamond. I regretted not getting a sapphire of some sort instead with color. Recently, I've fallen back in love with it although now I'm considering a second ring with a yellow diamond instead. I'd also say that no matter what the size, its yours :) I wanted something smaller and specifically told the jeweler nothing bigger than 1 ct.

Because when i check the jewelry forum, all I see are 1 carat and more diamonds being posted here. I always thought only celebrities or royalty have those huge carat diamonds. I saw someone who actually had a 2 carat diamond engagement ring and my mouth really dropped..it was my first time to see a ring in the 2 carat range then. So you can just imagine my facial expression when I see everybodys ring in even more than 2 carat. Well, now I am happy with my ring as cute as it is..especially that it is given by my DH...

Not to say anything about ladies rings here but diamonds have a wide variance in quality. There are some diamonds that are 1 ct that cost more than some 2 ct diamonds. It all depends on what you personally want. There is also budget as a factor. But I've known women with engagement rings that cost less than $1k and are very happy with their rings while some women who have rings over $10k may not be happy with it for various reasons :) I wouldn't judge what you have by what others have.

Agreed! And these are wedding rings! Not just cocktail rings or fashion rings. They have meaning and intent behind them.

I think this thread is nice because we can look at rings similar to our own. See what styles work with smaller diamonds. It's more like comparing apples to apples.

Personally, I enjoy looking at the larger diamonds but love looking at the smaller ones :)

Sigh, I agree, and I feel badly that I want a bigger ring. I think I just like the larger look, but I'm not sure if I could give up the quality of my diamond (or the loving meaning behind it).

I love this thread! It's nice to see rings that are more "reachable".
I had to resize both my e-ring and wedding ring to be able to wear them together again.
I wouldn't dream of changing it (but I wouldn't say no if DH offered me another ring ;) )

When he asked me what I wanted, I told him that I didn't know about the color, since I prefer white watches, and that I has afraid to lose or damage the diamond if it was too high. Didn't he solve my dilemma perfectly?

Beautiful ring! I reset my diamond to a bezel last spring. I LOVE it!
