Did you sell it? If not you could use it to upgrade to a larger stone. They will accept any stone that comes with their diamond certificate for upgrades at the original purchase price to go towards the new, larger stone. The new stone has to be min of 2x of your old one.

I also have a DBTY and experienced shrinkage lol. I was thinking of selling it, but then I learned about the upgrades, so I think I'll just get a larger stone (It doesn't even have to be the same style) at Tiffany.
Yes I Did sell. I never heard of upgrade they never told me! So you just need to double the price? Yes shrinkage is real!!!

I only learned about it too, they should do a better job communicating this! Yes, double the price and have the certificate & proof of purchase. Although she hinted that proof of purchase can be bypassed if you inherited the item, or if it's already registered under your name.

Wow I just looked I could have gone from .28 to probably.50. But maybe that’s too large for dbty anyway.

If you feel more comfortable with a silver metal, definitely go for platinum over yellow gold. It’s a big purchase & you want to get as much wear out of it as possible! I have a non-Tiffany 0.30ct DBTY and it’s an amazing size. I wear it 24/7 & has suited many occasions & different outfits.

Thank you! I am still looking at the options on size. Definitely .30 ct +. I did find they had one that is .37 not sure that would even look larger to naked eye though. The SA is on vacation for a week so I won't go in until next weekend.

I always seem to go bigger every time I get a dbty. My latest one is .47 . I went from .22 platinum to .26 yellow gold to .47 rose gold.
Do you still have all three? If so would love to see a picture of how the .26 and .47 look compared to one another. If not would love to see the .47 on for size reference. I keep wondering if I should go closer to .40.
