Yes she said that it’s so hard when you cannot try on and view in person first!

So you think the .35 in I VS is good? My engagement ring is that color range and 1.5 ct so not sure that bothers me.
When I was looking they got different options from other stores and brought to my store. I was able to compare and decide. There is no obligation to buy if you don’t like the selection they get from another store. But it helped me narrow in on my decision.

My personal rule in choosing diamond jewelry is to not outshine my engagement ring. I want the engagement ring to always be the star of the show.

Are you still trying to decide between the Soleste and the DBTY? They are very different. I feel the Soleste is more of a dressy, special occasion necklace and DBTY is perfect for every day.

Your store should be able to bring in some choices for you to try on. I think 0.35 ct is pretty big for DBTY. When you try it on, pay attention to whether you think the back of the diamond poking your skin will cause irritation if you wear it a lot or all of the time. You may prefer something smaller, or perhaps a traditional basket setting.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I had a DBTY a few years ago and regret giving it up great every day style. I had a .28 and thinking I’d prefer slightly larger this time.

So went to store they are having a .33 ct h, vs1 platinum transferred to the store for me. Tried soleste on again with a YG .30 ct g, vvs2 dbty. Both styles pretty but dbty is so clean looking.

Was given champagne too. It’s quiet today.

Anyone know of possible price increases? SA on vacation until 1/14 so I’d go back to see it then.

Oh both are so pretty! But I think you want the dbty based on regretting the one you gave up. What color metal was your .28 before? Is there a huge price difference between all options?

Thank you! I had platinum previously and all my jewelry is silver, WG or platinum.

I did kind of like the yellow gold but my daughter didn’t hesitate in saying silver metals better on me.

The prices for the options around .30 ct all very similar. There was a .31 ct g, vs1 that was $90 less than the .33 h, vs1. Or they had the .35 I, vs1 but she said the staff there sticks with G or H color when they make purchases themselves.

***Now I am starting to think. The online rep gave me a price for .33 ct F, VS1 of $3500 and the .33 H, VS1 is I think $3380. Is the $120 worth it for the two steps up in color? Maybe I made a mistake!

Are the options platinum that you are deciding between? Can you get both in person to make a decision? Once you try both on…one might sparkle or speak more to you than the other. I tried several on and told the SA not to tell me which was which and kept picking the same one 😀

Both in platinum. I don't know if she would bring 2 options in. Maybe if I paid for one while I decide.

Did you sell it? If not you could use it to upgrade to a larger stone. They will accept any stone that comes with their diamond certificate for upgrades at the original purchase price to go towards the new, larger stone. The new stone has to be min of 2x of your old one.

I also have a DBTY and experienced shrinkage lol. I was thinking of selling it, but then I learned about the upgrades, so I think I'll just get a larger stone (It doesn't even have to be the same style) at Tiffany.
