These are lovely on you. I get what you mean re jewelry though I have to say I’ve had some great experiences buying second hand jewelry as of late. The big name resellers have been posting lots of excellent and new condition h jewelry online marked down 40-70% retail. I don’t think I will go back to buying most jewelry from the boutique. I just can’t justify the prices anymore esp now with things going up more. Of course buying jewelry always accelerates one’s path to a bag though. Haha. Enjoy!
In my experience so far, with less effort, bag offers pop up before the year ends coz stores are trying to reach their goals and to get rid of stocks. In the US, at my home store at least. I dont fancy any other H FJ at the moment anyways except one of the lower priced wedding rings.

In love with my new earrings! Farandole studs with pave diamonds. These are a push present gift to myself…

I have to be honest. These were very expensive for me. While looking for jewelry options, the thought crossed my mind that I could go buy Van Cleef or Cartier or something else that would retain its value better. Also, my parents have worked in jewelry throughout my entire life. Whenever I wanted to buy something designer, they would gawk over what the actual cost of each piece is. If they knew I paid such a high mark for something with such few diamonds, it would make their heads spin. But I figured jewelry is meant to be loved, not resold, not necessarily bargained, just something to enjoy. And I really do enjoy these. They may not be as recognizable as the pave VCA Alhambras or a love bracelet but they make me happy.
They look gorgeous! As someone who likes both VCA and H jewelry, I genuinely do enjoy the H designs and I like that they usually are IYKYK and they usually are understated enough for work/day, and also are dressy enough for the evenings. And yes, they definitely help show your loyalty to the brand!!!

Finesse earrings - new to me, and kindly bought by a friend from a second hand store in Japan at around 60% off retail.

I had seen the Finesse on resale sites but didn’t realise how sizeable these earrings were until I tried them on in store. I like how they sit flat on the ear, so they’re easy to wear and I can sleep in them too.

The diamonds are white and sparkly, and I like the under-the-radar design.

Further, considering the VCA Sweet Alhambras are only 0.16cts vs Finesse at 0.92cts, it felt like a no-brainer! (I found the VCA VA earrings too big to wear 24/7)

Would love to get thoughts from FJ experts.
I bought a pair of these clou de forge dangling earrings in rose gold. I love them but every time I wear them there is a black residue on my earlobes where they rub against…these are the only rose gold earrings I have from Hermes. Is this expected? Or did I get a pair that was especially poor quality?
Thanks in advance.IMG_8930.webp

The black residue is from when your skin reacts to the alloys in the metal. I've never had this experience myself with any of the H FJ but I also don't experience this with any other 14k or 18k jewelry. Some people are just more prone to this type of phenomenon depending on how sensitive they are, body chemistry, allergy to different metals in the alloys. Hard to say exactly what causes it. Are you allergic to any metals? Also I heard this can happen a lot on hands with rings when one wears moisturizer. I would give the earrings a gentle wash with some soapy water, give a good polish with some microfiber cloth, wash your skin area and dry them completely, then try wearing them again to see if it happens again.

Thanks so much for the insight! I have other rose gold FJ from H and rose gold earrings from other places and the H earrings are the only ones that leave the residue. I will try your suggestions!

Hi Nikotama I have actually been considering buying these exact earrings! Can I ask how comfortable they are and how heavy do you find them?

Hi, i love them. They are very comfortable and look good with casual and more dressy outfits. They are not light, as in I can feel their weight but don’t feel weighed down by them if that makes sense? I actually like that I can feel their weight because then I could tell if they accidentally come off (since they don’t have a secure clasp at the back) although that has never happened yet!

Try using one of those plastic earring backers. I bought some from Amazon. I lost an earring before. Never again.

Wish i could wear big earrings like this. One of my piercing is stretched out. My ENT recommended me to avoid big earrings eventhough she will close up the stretched piercing for me. Ive always wanted the CDC twist earrings and the clou de forge, both of which my SA was wearing/ modeling for inspo. They look so cool. I love statment jewelry.

I have had these gold farandole earrings for a few months and yesterday when I was putting them the shaft snapped off. Has this happened to anyone? Do you think the store will fix it? I really love them and hope they will
oh no! I have these earrings too (also love them)...please let me know what your boutique proposes as a solution

They were great, they took the earrings in for repairs. They also gave me a new butterfly for my silver farandole earrings which I lost and they cleaned them. They had turned black after one week of wearing them. I thought it was oxidation and tried to scrub them with no luck but the boutique cleaned them up in a second. I was really happy with the service and can’t wait to get them back.
