Hi everyone,

I’m eyeing to buy the Hermes Kelly chaine choker as it can be used as a bracelet as well, but haven’t been able to get it at the boutique.

my SA mentioned the lariat version is available to order, however I am not sure whether the lariat version can be worn as a bracelet.

I have two questions:

- can it be worn double as bracelet?
- is the Kelly lock secure enough? As in the choker version there’s a lobster clasp and it feels more secure than just a Kelly lock…

Hi I have this necklace without the diamonds. Unfortunately for me, it does not work as a bracelet just because of the size of my wrists, which are on the small side. Like if I twist it 2 times it's too loose but if I twist it 3 times, it's too tight. So it just doesn't work for me. You may want to try it on before committing. I only wear it as a necklace. The Kelly lock is secure, but it flips over a lot, which is very annoying.

Thank you so much for your reply and your feedback! Then it’s best if I wait until there’s stock at the boutique so I can try the necklace. I also heard about the flipping, I saw someone on Instagram add a custom gold lock 🔒 on the lariat and it doesn’t flip anymore.

Even the lariat style flips over? Thought that was for the choker. Figured the lariat part would hold the kelly lock down. Thats disappointing

nope, it still flips over. I've tried different ways to wear it, or twist it, or whatever I think may be the issue.... but it still flips. 🤯
although I'll have to look up this instagram method

ETA: Although I struggle with the flipping on my VCA pave bracelet as well! Equally frustrating.

I had the exact same concern because of the toggle closure. My husband bought this for me in the standard size and it was loose on my wrist and because of the up and down movement it would come off. I exchanged it for an XS size so the bracelet pretty much stays put and hasn’t come off even when exercising, taking off a coat, etc. Hope that helps!

Hi all, I am getting the diamond farandole necklace with the toggle closure- worried about it falling off! I am planning to do the clear hair elastic trick, but has anyone added or swapped out for a lobster clasp with a jeweler who can share pics/experience? Not excited to alter a piece. Thanks!!!

I have the small and large chaine d ancre gold necklace and wear them frequently. I have even slept in the small and have never had a problem with the toggle closure. It was definitely a worry for me when I first got it, but my SA let me know they made the "bar" part longer so it will not slide out. I would be more worried about putting an elastic on my jewelry and what damage that might cause.

Edited to add: I also style the necklace with the toggle in the front, side and back and in any position it does not open.

This is super reassuring- I just read somewhere on here about someone’s toggle necklace being lost and saw this on Facebook as well so I’m assuming it’s the new toggle??
