I've liked the look of some bags from Smader, Minus, Sidney and Sons, Sketchbook, Nicolette Bags, Automatic Sweetheart and a couple other shops, but haven't made a purchase yet. I like the idea of having a bag that tons of other people don't have.

I bought a Valhalla Brooklyn bag (a Larch) and wasn't all that impressed. The leather was thin and a little sad. Too pricey for what you get, in my opinion. I wouldn't buy another from her.

Disappointing to hear... the price tag is pretty steep, but I love the look.

Agreed. The leather looks so nice in photos but that definitely does not sound like it commands the 300 - 500 $ pricetag she charges.

Has anyone bought from Art on Crafts Etsy Storefront?

I really like the Pony Tail but I've been afraid to bite the bullet. I'd hate to be disappointed.

I've purchased leather foldover bag with strap from this seller and I like the bag. The seller can accomodate any changes you wish and he's very nice. The leather I have is a pebbly chewy leather and the workmanship is great. Stitching is even. However I would have liked it if the hardware was more substantial- ie. heavier. I find that with most Etsy sellers, by looking at photos only- that the hardware and the attachment of the hardware/strap to the bag is not as sturdy looking as mass manufacturers who probably have the machinery to do so.

That's disappointing.. I have been eyeing the Larch bag recently and was planning to get that for my next handbag purchase. :( I love her bags' styles and the pretty fabric lining she uses.

Well, I haven't ordered yet but I was looking for purses for my mom and found this one. I love it! The leather looks yummy

I saw this bow bag from morelle a couple of years back and really regret not buying it as her shop is closed! :(

Holy moly....that leather in the first link is incredible! Yummy and chewy and perfect! Just wondering...did you end up purchasing this bag??? And if so, may I know your opinion? After seeing this I might have to get this yummy bag asap!

It really is gorgeous, and very affordable. I saw the clay one she has on the site, too.

I'm always a bit hesitant about buying leather bags from etsy, because even though they might look fine in the pictures, once I get them, they tend to be really thin leather (and considering that they can go up to designer prices, that's really not acceptable ^^; )

^^^^I agree.
This one is really thick, soft, smooshy leather and as much as I love it, I doubt if I'll buy another. I wanted one just to be able to have a handmade bag. I don't regret my purchase one bit, but it will probably be my only one. :)
